Description

Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside with views of Glastonbury Tor, Mendip View Lodge is the ideal place for you to locate yourself for a rural retreat.

Newly built in 2017, the Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the local towns, countryside and coast. For the more active many cycling, walking and running routes are on your doorstep. Set down a quiet lane, the lodge is a compact and cosy retreat well appointed to for you to enjoy a quiet, relaxing holiday. The lodge comprises of a kitchen living room with doors leading off it to a double bedroom and a spacious wet room.

A covered decking area leading onto a gravel garden, with far reaching views, provides an ideal area to relax and have a BBQ after a busy day exploring. We welcome 1 well behaved dog at no extra charge but ask that it is not left unattended in the lodge.

Situated in the heart of Somerset we are located only 3 miles from Glastonbury with its famous Tor and Abbey and close to the historical Cathedral Cities of Wells and Bath. Glastonbury and Wells both have a lovely café culture and plenty of amenities, including weekly street markets, whilst Street has a popular shopping outlet village.

A good selection of National Trust properties are within easy distance including Stourhead and Tyntesfield. Cheddar Gorge, the Jurassic coast, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare are also in easy reach for day trips. For the bird watcher the Somerset Levels nature reserves are close by.

West Pennard is three miles from Glastonbury so a car is necessary.

Dog owners - the property is partially fenced but it is on a very quiet country lane. The main gate to the property can be shut if required. The property has its own private garden area and access to a large field adjacent to the lodge.

“Great place”

Great quiet location with good views and within walking distance to the Tor. Accommodation cosy and tastefully decorated throughout with all the modern amenities. Would highly recommend

How do damage deposits work?
