Location description from owner

The Scotland region

For lovers of culture there are many museums, galleries and theatres to be visited and during the month of August the city welcomes visitors from all over the world for the Edinburgh Festival and associated Fringe Festival. Edinburgh has something for everyone. Kids will love the outstanding Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh Castle, the Wax Museum or perhaps a ghost tour round the cobbled streets and closes of the historic old town. Guests can easily explore Edinburgh on foot, from the medieval old town with its many historic buildings of interest, to the New Town.

Its central location means that the area has many shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, as well as Victorian residential streets. Lothian Road has become the nexus for many arts venues – including the Usher Hall, The Edinburgh Filmhouse, the Royal Lyceum and the Traverse Theatre. Also close by are Galleries, Museums, Historic properties, Theatre, and Edinburgh Zoo.
