Manor Barn Cottage in Wendlebury village is surrounded by picturesque Oxfordshire countryside close to the Cotswolds and Chilterns, providing relaxing scenery, wonderful walks and riding along numerous footpaths, bridle ways and by-way. The cottage is ideally situated for tourists, overseas visitors and business people alike. London (60 minutes) is easily reached by the M40 junction 9 (1 mile) giving direct access to the national motorway network, Heathrow and Birmingham airports. There is also a regular train services from Oxford and Bicester Stations to London, Birmingham and Reading. The famous Bicester Village Shopping Centre is 2 miles away and is well worth a visit. A round extendible dinning table for 4 people. Off the kitchen is a downstairs WC.The cottage has a living room with a fireplace with an electric fire, two sofas, TV, DVD, CD Player and occasional tables. Board games selection. Free WiFi Internet access. Redecorate throughout May 2015.

“Nice cottage, poor hospitality, misleading advertisement”

The hostess seems very unsociable and not interested in her guests. There was no welcome. Only a short chat on our initiative. We didn't feel welcome. As we were not supposed to be there. During our stay at the cottage, we had most beautiful weather. According to the advertisement the cottage overviews the front garden. The advertisement shows pictures of a deckchair in the grass. However, the garden belongs to the house. Guests are not allowed to sit in the garden. (We never saw anyone sitting in the garden whatsoever) There is enough space to make a nice terrace for the guests. I even saw an extra garden furniture set under the carport. When I explained my dissappointment to the hostess she said it was told in de details she emailed us. She only sent the email less than a week before our stay. At that time cancellation wasn't possible anymore. The beds were very small. There was plastic underneath the sheets. Every single move awakens you. Carpet in the toilet and bathroom is not hygienic.

Owner's reply: We find some guests like to be left alone during their stay so we don't like to interrupt our guests holidays, but we are very accessible if anyone needs us during their stay and respond to any requests from this guest during their stay. This is a standalone holiday cottage and it clearly states on the website their is no garden, but their is a large park opposite for people to relax in or take children to the playground. The beds are two standard double beds with material mattress protectors and carpet in bathrooms is a very typical in british houses.
