Resting in the grounds of a nearby Victorian cottage, Stokewood Barn's top floor has been tastefully converted into an open-plan living and sleeping area, with an en-suite and fully fitted kitchen.

Tucked away on the edge of woods in a secluded valley of the Mendip Hills mid-way between Wells & Cheddar, this tastefully converted accommodation comprises the top floor of Stokewood Barn. A peaceful resting place in an isolated spot and with a private garden.

Despite a bad start when we found our original place was double booked, Trip Advisor reacted very quickly and the owners of Stokewood Barn jumped in and had the place ready for us in half an hour. Set in a perfect location at the end of a lane, no passing traffic, except the owner and her dog! Very central to all the sites of interest and surrounded by fantastic places to eat out. A short drive to Cheddar one way, and Wells the other, up and over the hills takes you to a pretty village by the name of Priddy where we found a lovely pub to get a good meal called the Queens Victoria. A great place to spend a week or two

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Honor (the owner) a message.

If Honor (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
