Set in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse, the Stocks Barn offers beautiful and well equipped self-catering accommodation on the edge of a quiet country village. We have been awarded the 4 stars in the first year, second and now third year of operation for the quality of accommodation and customer services by Visit England and we strive to deliver only the best for our guests.

Less than half an hour from the medieval city of Lincoln we offer an ideal base for exploring the many delights of Lincolnshire. Our lovingly restored barn, dating from 1762, is the ideal get-away, for families or even a bolt hole for a romantic stay..

Complete with wood flooring, central heating and a wood-burning stove, the Stocks Bran makes an all-year ‘round break warm and welcoming whilst a private enclosed garden, complete with patio furniture and BBQ, ensures you can enjoy the summer too. The spacious rooms, high beamed ceilings original hay loft features with galleried main bedroom, and luxury bed linens provide the perfect backdrop to a family holiday or romantic retreat.

Getting around

Access to a car is advisable, but there is a bus stop within two minutes walk with buses to Lincoln and Grantham twice an hour. There is no bus service after about 8pm.

Interaction with guest

I generally am there to meet guests on arrival in most instances. If I am not available to do so I leave the keys in a key safe and provide you with the code until I return later the same day to meet you. Following that I am available for contact throughout your stay but I usually leave you to get on with your stay.

We stayed for the weekend in The Stocks and were very impressed. The barn is very comfortable with everything you need for a weekend stay. Wayne was on hand if needed and left us a welcome pack, which was much appreciated. 2 dog friendly pubs within a one minute walk, we ate in The Duke of Marquis.

The village location is perfect to explore the local area. Wayne the owner was friendly and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. I would consider visiting again.

How do damage deposits work?
