The Province of Munster region

County Kerry (Irish: Contae Chiarraí) is a county in Ireland. It is located in the South-West Region and is also part of the province of Munster. It is named after the pre-Gaelic tribe who lived in part of the present county. Kerry is the 5th largest of the 32 counties of Ireland by area and the 13th largest by population.[1] Uniquely, it is bordered by only two other counties: County Limerick to the east and County Cork to the south-east. The county town is Tralee. The diocesan see is Killarney, which is one of Ireland's most famous tourist destinations. The Lakes of Killarney, an area of outstanding natural beauty, are located in Killarney National Park. The house is located on the world renowned, beautiful Ring of Kerry.

Waterville

There are wonderful walks in the vicinity, for the leisurely walker and the hill walker, as well as fishing (deep-sea, shore and lake), cycling, and tennis. Nestled on the famous Ring of Kerry, access to beautiful Blue Flag beaches, lofty mountains and great food and traditional entertainment in local restaurants, hotels and pubs is only minutes away. “Excellent house with beautiful views”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2013

This house was really fantastic with incredible views from all parts of the house over Lough Currane and the surrounding mountains, when the sun was shining (and it did for 5 out of the 7 days) we felt we were looking over a vista from continental europe. The house was incredible spacious and the best room for us was the sun/reading room which Maureen has stocked with a large selection of books to choose from and with maravellous views over the lake, sitting down there with a cup of tea and a book was a quick way to unwind after the a full day with the kids!. The location is just about a 3 minute drive to the village and beach of Waterville and there is a playground on the way down which we found very convenient. May I also say that Maureen the owner was a really excellent person to deal with who provided the little touches in the house like a little teddy and dolly in the bedrooms for the kids and also just the more functional items in the house were provided for, like dishwasher tablets and bin bags the sort of things that aren't provided in some of those awful self catering villages and which really make the difference and give it that personal touch. We would definitely recommend this house and if we are down that way again we will be looking it up. Fergal Connolly
