Description from owner

Description

Great Bodieve Barns are four stylish, luxury cottages in an attractive stone and slate barn complex, less than 1 mile from the town of Wadebridge and adjacent to Rock, Polzeath Padstow and Port Isaac. The cottages are a stones throw from the Camel Trail – 18 miles of flat level walking and cycling between Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow.

Formerly used as a granary and milling house, the barn was beautifully converted to provide four spacious cottages, with an emphasis on quality furnishings and modern fittings, whilst retaining much atmosphere of the original building. Central heating throughout the properties, plus a woodburner in the Mill House, ensures all year comfort.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all cottages. Set in an area renowned for its beautiful countryside and dramatic coastline, The Mill House offers a stylish holiday home where you can relax and enjoy all that North Cornwall offers throughout the year.

Location description from owner

The England region

Despite Cornwall’s ever-growing popularity, long stretches of this exceptionally beautiful coast remain wild, unique and unspoilt, perfect for exploring on foot. Proudly jutting straight out into the Atlantic, the north Cornwall coast unashamedly faces the full might of the ocean.

For much of the year, gales howl with all their might, sending huge waves crashing against the cliffs. But walk out on the right day on any stretch of the coastal foot path between Newquay and Port Isaac and you’ll be mesmerised by the magical colour of the sea, wild flowers and brilliance of the sand.

Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Mawgan Porth, Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps, Porthcothan, Treyarnon Bay, Constantine Bay, Mother Ivey’s Bay and Harlyn Bay – and take the passenger ferry at Padstow to Rock across the beautiful River Camel, discover the gentle and sheltered sandy beach of Daymer Bay, the surf heaven of Polzeath among some of the most picturesque stretches of coastline that Cornwall has to offer.

Wadebridge

Wadebridge is an ideal centre from which to access watersports such as sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, bird watching and fishing, plus some of the best beaches in the country are close by with easy access to the rest of the county. The town is home to an abundance of independant shops and is home to the Wadebridge Folk Festival held every August Bank Holiday.

The Camel Trail,18 miles of flat level walking and cycling routes, skirts the Camrel estuary from Padstow, through the friendly towns of Wadebridge and Bodmin to the edge of Bodmin Moor. Nearby are several excellent golf courses plus of course some of Cornwall's world-renowned gardens and historic properties.

Many of our guests are welcomed here year after year and we try to provide the best advice about the area and a friendly service. A Cornish cream tea and a warm welcome awaits you.
