From the owner

A one bedroom cottage in the countryside and part of a major Alpaca farm. The cottage overlooks the alpaca fields.

Set on the edge of the beautiful bonne fleurie village of Born, just minutes from the Bastide town of Villereal, and central to all the tourist attractions of Dordogne. Villereal has a vibrant market twice a week, and local towns have markets on other days.

This beautifully renovated plum drying barn has been delightfully fitted out for 2 people. There is a fully fitted kitchen with all the necessary for self catering - including cooker, washing machine, fridge/freezer, toaster, filter coffee, iron etc. It has a separate eating area.

The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and all linen and towels are supplied incl hair dryer.

The lounge with high ceilings and exposed beams is comfortably furnished.. Fans are installed for summer and in case of un-seasonal weather there is electric heating and a gas wood stove. UK TV (Freeview) is available by satellite.

French doors open onto a private patio, with table, chairs and a swing seat. The patio overlooks the park-like settings with alpacas grazing peacefully below. A perfect spot for an early evening relaxing drink.

The Cottage is set in our own 17 acres of alpaca farmland.

Parking on the property is easy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Nic (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
