Occupying almost the entire top floor of an old palace, this magnificent open-plan penthouse is completely unique. It is in the heart of the charming and unspoilt old village of Villefranche-sur-Mer, yet it is quiet, extremely spacious and light, and exudes luxury. Perfect for four people or a couple, but can if necessary accommodate up to six + a baby, by arrangement with the owner.

The large terrace offers a stunning view of what's renowned as one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Mediterranean, while inside the apartment affords the ultimate in comfort: a fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge and dining areas, a master ensuite with a King size bed, and a family room with two double beds. Both bedrooms have their own shower and toilet facilities and the master ensuite also has a bath. There are sliding doors from the lounge, dining area and master bedroom onto the terrace. The penthouse has excellent Wifi and for longer stays there is a great work space.

An idyllic hideaway yet only moments from the beach, restaurants and shops, public transport and all the great local walks & scenery.

During Covid 19 we will supply hand sanitiser and provide extra cleaning products. For longer stays we will offer extra towels and bedding. The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each guest.

Getting around

BUSES: The Nice – Monaco bus runs regularly (approx. once every 20 minutes); climb up to the main road that runs through Villefranche to find the bus stop: It’s by the pharmacy on Ave. Princess Grace (near the seahorse statue) for buses to Nice and across the road for Monaco buses. TRAINS: The Railway station is just above the beach – at the end of the Rue du Poilu; get hold of a timetable or check them out online via SNCF’s website. They’re not as regular as the buses and they cost more, but they are quicker and go further (beyond Cannes or to Grasse one way, and into Italy the other)

“Amazing Apartment in the BEST location”

We arrived back from our stay at this beautiful apartment a few days ago. We had the most relaxing time in the loveliest location in Villefranche. Right on the sea front and close to everything Villefranche has to offer; restaurants, bars, shops, beach, station...the list could go on. The apartment itself is fantastic, it's beautifully decorated with tons of space (there were 6 of us!) and a stunning balcony with a panoramic view over the bay. We spent hours sitting out there eating, drinking and staring at the boats coming and going. It has everything you need - even down to a snorkel and a little fruit juicer! We felt so at home even after just arriving! Kate and Richard couldn't have been more helpful, thank you so much guys,. Hopefully next time we will be able to stay longer! :-)

“Great Penthouse perfectly located in beautiful town!”

Just home from our stay in this gorgeous apartment which fully lived up to our expectations. The location is just perfect - right beside train station - on the seafront - near the beach - close enough to all restaurants and bars. What more could you ask for! The loft is on the top floor but the access is good. It is a bright well furnished, well equipped penthouse with a balcony overlooking the bay with all modern amenities including air con and WIFI which worked perfectly! The view from the balcony is just lovely - a great start to each day. Ville-Franche is a lovely old style French town. Narrow streets with a real quaint feeling. There are a lot of hills and steps to climb if you want to venture further up into the town but this is not necessary and makes the location of this penthouse even more perfect! Great choice of restaurants - we enjoyed L'Aparte which is more fine dining and we had two very good meals in La Caravella right beside it which we thoroughly enjoyed also. Kate was great to deal with and made the booking very easy. She also arranged taxi transfers for us which worked well and her representative Richard was there waiting for us on our arrival. All very smooth and hassle free which is what you want on holiday! A great time was had by all and we would love to go back!

Just to make clear for anyone who doesn't know ...we are a three to four minute walk from the railway station and we do not have any noise only the added convenience of being able to jump aboard and see the cote d'azur so well as travel direct to Italy. Amazing view from the roof terrace with restaurants and beach on your doorstep. Nice and very well equipped flat. Train station is only 200 meters from the flat taking you easily around to the villages on the coast. Having said that, Villefranche in itself is the most beautiful of them all. Very attentive landlady and local representative (Richard). Use their transport service as well for pick up to/from airport/sightseeing/taxi - very convenient, good price and nice car! All in all, - what a Place!. What a location! What a flat! We will return!

Booked this apartment for my sisters wedding in VFSM, and couldn't have been happier with it! Right from the booking process Kate was super helpful with all my queries as it was our first holiday with our new baby. She very kindly arranged a driver to meet us at the airport, and Molly was waiting for us when we arrived to go through everything - she was on hand too for all my anxious new mum questions on how things worked!! The apartment itself is gorgeous - the terrace and views absolutely amazing. We really couldn't fault it!! The location was perfect for access to all the amenities including the beach, shops, restaurants and the train station. There are a few stairs up to the apartment once you come out of the lift but these are shallow and we had no problems at all carrying our cases or the pram up them! VFSM is a beautiful village but beware if travelling with babies that there are a lot of steps everywhere!!! However it didn't stop us having a lovely time, and we can't wait to go back! xx

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
