“i now have a 2nd home, its in villefranche.”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2012

This holiday home was by far the best holiday my wife and i ever had. We were completely at home in our little apartment. Steps from from the train station that would whisk us away, up and down the coast of the French Riviera or on to Italy. It was also just steps to the beach or restauants and shops and a glass of wine was not out of arms reach either. My only advise would be to quickly learn the pattern of life here so as to blend in easier. Learn when the shops are open and closed, learn when the last baguette is available, learn what part of the restaurant demands a higher price for the same item. You will have less chance of being caught off guard and taken for surprise. It will make for a much favourable experience, and for goodness sake don't expect things to be like at home because they won't be.... it is not home. You make it home. Please enjoy the experience.

“wonderful view”

great apt. kitchen needs updating, the service from Pat Fortune is amazing, she helped us out all the time, was there for us whenever we needed her great person ,so is George. the trains did not bother us great to have the train so close . it is the junk yard across the street the railway yard, nothing but weeds and junk no need for that ,a little pulling of weeds and clearing the junk is all that is needed (a few pots with flowers would be lovely) i am sure all the owners of the apt. facing the water would be very happy and a bonus for villefranche, we will be back because we love it in villfranche

“Great place to stay, what a view.”

We have stayed in a few apartments in Villefranche over the last few years, some great, some not so great. This one was spot on, there wasn't really anything we didn't like about it and fingers crossed we will be back. Pat was very helpful and was at the train station to meet us when we got there. The apartment is nearly directly behind the station and we did fear that we would hate the apartment because of that. You can hear the trains from the apartment, but its not enough to bother you, you just notice it, but its not bad enough to wake you up. (I wake easy, so that's really good) The view is just great, you can sit for hours just watching the bay. The apartment was clean, everything we needed was there. Pat went through everything with us and made us feel at home from the start. There wasn't air con in the apartment, it was fine for us we were there in October, but if it was very warm, it might get a little uncomfortable. but I'd still stay there, its just something you would need to consider during the summer. All in all, its a great base. you won't be sorry you stayed here!

“Very relaxing stay”

An extremely lovely apartment. Well equipped and superb location. The apartment faces south with a panoramic view of the bay. sat many hours just sitting on the balcony watching the cruise ships and luxury boats come and go. The train station is right below the apartment great for my husband who happens to love trains! The sound of the trains did not bother us at all and as the trains run very frequently so it is easy to get about. The apartment is well equipped for a stay. Very clean and well maintained. We had a lovely time here and would definatly return. Very relaxing stay

“Views glorious views!”

This is a fantastic apartment and a great location from which to explore the Cote d'Azur, with easy access to the railway station. We had a wonderful time and are hoping to book the apartment again next year.

“We'd love to go back”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2011

Superb all round. Balcony view had whole panorama of Villefranche Bay, beach was a couple of 100 yards away and frequent and cheap railway service was even closer (we weren't disturbed by the trains at night). Plenty of restaurants nearby with plenty of choice. No need to hire a car but if you do then there is parking outside and it opens up possibilities for exploring the hills and villages inland. Apartment was neatly laid out and was clean and up to all of our expectations and that view..!
