Vineyard Tour: If all the times in visiting the Dordogne you have never ventured into a vineyard to see how it is all done, then this is the place for you. We will show you around the property explaining all the work that takes place on the vineyard and looking after the vines. You will then be given a tour of the 'chai' where the wine is made. Then of course you can have a tasting session to sample all our wines. If you are lucky to be here at harvest time you will see exactly what happens. We pick a large quantity of our grapes by hand and then prepare them before they get placed in to the chai, where all the magic happens. If you are here when we are machine harvesting it can be arranged for you to ride on the vendange machine with our driver Bertron and see how it is all done. It is a very busy and tiring time of year, but guaranteed to be alot of fun too.Lac du Gurson: The Lac du Gurson, is a wonderful place to spend long lazy sunny days. The main lake with its own beach is life guarded during the main summer months and it is excellent for the children with its shallow waters. Around the lake you can find the water shute, bars, restaurants, pedalos and horse-riding. There is a 2nd fishing lake also in the complex. Activities: There are so many activities readily available in this area of the Dordogne including, Golf, canoeing, Horse-riding, paint-balling, go karting and there is a recently opened wonderful play centre in Bergerac. We will be of course on hand to help you (if needed) if any booking of such activities.Golf:Chateau les Vigiers Is approximately 40km away and is a beautiful golf course and spa. Listed below are a few details of the course at Les Vigiers.Château des Vigiers forms the centrepiece of a spectacular 27 hole, par 72 golf course designed by Donald Steel who is considered one of the very best 'natural' golf course architects. The original 18 hole golf course was completed in 1991 by Brian D. Pierson and is set amidst plum orchards, oak woods, lakes and vineyards. We have just finished a fantastic 9 hole course, also designed by Donald to integrate beautifully into the existing course.

Villefranche-de-Lonchat

Villefranche is a typical french village, plenty of history and a bastide anglais. It has a bakery, pharmacy, doctors and also a couple of bars and restaurants. It also has a wonderful lake, Lac du Gurson where you can swim in the lake, relax on the beach and why not stay there for dinner to watch the sun go down - perfect.Every summer in July and August Villefranche host many social events. Every Friday night you can enjoy the local night market. All the locals and holiday makers enjoy having dinner together in the village square. You can buy you dinner and wine and even cheese and dessert. Just sit back and relax and take in the typical village atmosphere. There are so many local markets too and I am sure you will be able to find one close by every day of the week!St Emilion is only 15 minutes away with famous vineyard and a beautiful town. Bergerac is 45 minutes away a wonderful old town with winding streets, fantastic markets and boat trips along the Dordogne.Canoeing is readily available on the Dordogne River.
