We stayed at Villa Carouge for 2 weeks in December 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners maintain the villa to a high standard and we were impressed by the decoration and cleanliness. Julia dealt with our queries very quickly and provided excellent pre arrival information on the villa, directions and car hire etc. Kitchen – we found everything we needed, it had a good selection of utensils, pots, pans etc. We requested a fresh food welcome pack (milk, bread, cheese, butter etc., from the management company and this was waiting for us on arrival. Probably a good decision as our flight from the UK was delayed and the welcome pack meant we didn’t need to rush out on our first evening. Basic food items, salt, pepper, pasta, coffee were available in the store cupboard, Other items such as tin foil, cleaning equipment are also provided, we just replaced items as we used them. Bedrooms – The bedrooms are a decent size and have plenty of storage. Good quality fittings and hairdryers. The bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Misc – wireless internet worked well in the villa and it was wonderful having British plug sockets – no need for adapters! Outside – The views from the patio were lovely and we barbequed on a regular basis. The new community pool was completed whilst we were there and is a great addition. It is exactly 25 paces from the Villa Carouge patio so not far to walk - we counted, how sad are we …. The security guards were unobtrusive but available if you had any questions. There are several beaches close by, we favoured the beach at The Landings – sunbeds are available for hire from an independent not connected to the hotel (around £12 for 3 sunbeds and a brolly). There are no private beaches on St Lucia so you are free to roam. All in all, this is a great villa in a great location.

"Absoloutly the Best Choice"
Firstly I would like to Thank You to Alison and Family, for extending their beautiful Villa to my Family and I. Arrived in St Lucia for The St Lucia Jazz Festival, to say that my Family and I were blown away by the Villa is an understatement. The lay out of the Villa is excellent, 1 very large sized bedroom on the lower level, and two very good sized bedrooms upstairs. The Villa is very well equipt, wifi access is excellent, and the kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you could possibly need. Because the Villa is situated in Cap Estate, (amazing location), I would reccomend hiring a rental, as the (local) transport does not travel to the Villa. However Taxi's are very accesible, and the usual price to travel to the nearest shopping amenities ( Rodney Bay Mall ) is approx 10 mins drive, and should be no more than $30/40 EC. Rodney Bay is the spot for great evening entertainment, good music, and amazing food. 'Spinnakers' which is situated on Reduit Beach,(walking distance from the Mall), undoubtably sells the nicest cuisine on the beach. 'Wings and Tings', serves the best bbq wings I have ever tasted, $20/5 EC (6/8 wings, fries, salad and a drink. And the Owners are two of the nicest people you could meet. If you like (local) food, 'The Lime' also in Rodney Bay, serves great food, and a good variety of things too choose from. Castries is great for presents to bring home, my advice is to 'barter, barter' the Lucians will always come down from the original price!.'Gros Islet,'JUMP UP' (Friday nights) is a must, wonderful food, great music, and a really friendly atmosphere. My holiday experience, along with my family, was amazing, and made so much better, by the absoloutley beautiful Villa Carouge. Thanks again Alison,God willing, we will be booking again next year, for 'Jazz 2014'.

"Wonderful villa for our family of six adults, in a great location."
We stayed at Villa Carouge for two weeks over Christmas and New Year's. The villa is perfectly set up for three couples. Everyone has their own space yet there is also lots of common space both indoors and out. The three bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve meals for six. The location of Villa Carouge is very convenient to beaches, attractions, restaurants, and shopping in the north end of the island, but you do need to rent a car to take advantage of this. Cotton Bay beach is an easy walk from the villa and many other beaches are just a short drive away. Pigeon Island National Park, with its lovely beaches, good snorkeling, historical sites, and great roti at Jambe du Bois is less than 10 minutes away by car. Rodney Bay is also about 10 minutes away by car and is a good location for restaurants or shopping . We had a fabulous family vacation at Villa Carouge and would love to return!
