Chill out in Casa del che ! Swim and shower in Evian! An underground lake in Mount La Safor supplies the Villa's water. The water, filtered by limestone, has the great taste and all the health benefits of the best bottled mineral water.
An Eco-friendly villa with a clean, self-sustaining power system that has little impact on the protected natural environment of pine trees.
The secluded garden has a large pool with all day sunshine, however pine trees provide a shady retreat full of local plants and shrubs. Relax with music ,food or a good book on the huge covered terrace, at the poolside BBQ area or swing gently on the tree-shaded hammock in Buddha's Corner . There is ample room for car parking, which is off road and secure within the grounds.
With no artificial light, night time skies are a stargazers dream.
Casa del Che has a large fully equipped kitchen, living room with internet connection, and a dining room. A wide range of books, DVD's and video's will suit all tastes and ages!
There are 3 double bedrooms (one en-suite), one twin room and one single room, plus a separate bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
Casa Che, Villalonga
What an inspired place – I have stayed there, up in the mountains with stars, with my daughter (now 13) and various other friends, three times now, we miss the place dearly on years we don't get there, going back again in July this year and can't wait.
The Villa is dripping in old Hollywood style glamour – the enormous balcony, the lush, semi tropical grounds, the very large, very blue and very warm pool, the warm, intense smell of pine, the fizz of a gin and tonic – heaven. The drive up the mountain road is like something from 'The Italian Job' take your biggest sunglasses and most chiffon scarf and wraps!
The villa is very big and airy and solid – there are several inside and outside seating , eating and relaxing areas – it's a perfect place to have a big party of friends for an extended time because there is enough room to go off and do your own thing if you wish to take time out. There is a big supermarket at foot of the mountain, so you can load up and be self sufficient for days on end – indoor cooking and an enormous bbq as well as an outdoor cooker all available. Washing machine and plenty of washing lines space to kit an army out.
You do need a car, there are beautiful drives across the mountains and along the beach roads to waterfalls, beaches and traditional villages – everything you could want – we tend to stay local and just totally relax, eat and drink....
Casa Che has become like a great old friend to both my daughter and I as well as all the other friends we have taken. We have had many wonderful times there – highly recommend.

The Valenciana region
Central to east coast of Spain, where the sun rises over the sea and sets over the mountains, is the area of La Safor, and the coast know as Costa Azahar, the orange blossom coast.
La Safor provides the perfect holiday location, with easy access to two airports, Valencia and Alicante, just miles of golden sandy beaches and the warm clear blue Mediterranean Sea stretch between them.
Valencia is where new meets old, the home of football and falles, modern and traditional architecture, a tour bus can show you all there is to see from oceanographic to the new marina where the 2007 America's cup yacht race took place. Valencia really is the new place to be and just a 50 minute train ride away.
Party in Little Britain, all day English breakfasts and English pints at very competitive prices, just a 40 minute drive.
Visit Gandia for slow and elegant town life, cafe culture, shopping, bars and restaurants plus Gandia beach for night clubs and all night beach bars that close as the sun comes up.
The traditional Spanish village of Villalonga has all necessary amenities including supermarket, chemist, and medical facilities. Soak up the local atmosphere relaxing on the paseao with a refreshing drink and tapas.
All nearby villages have excellent open air swimming pools, with BBQ areas and restaurants. A Sunday must for music lovers is Bar Diddly. Found in the small village of Repremala, 5 minutes from Villalonga, Bar Diddly has a riverside bar/restaurant with live music every Sunday.
La Llacuna is a hamlet, atop a mountain where the socialists hung out during Franco's reign. Back then it was accessed by a donkey track which is now a fabulous mountain drive with expansive views of La safor and the coastline.
La Llacuna's famous Bon Estar bar/restaurant is a 10 minute walk from Villa Che. Chelo the owner has won many awards for her traditional Spanish cuisine and locally produced honey. Along with many other traditional events, there is the Andalucian horse fair, usually held in August.
La Lacuna is a protected area of natural pine trees, providing a home for Spanish wild life, including red squirrels and wild boar. It provides the perfect environment for birds; eagles, hawks and owls are frequently spotted.
There are many great walks including the 'Railtrail', a 13 km walk through five exciting tunnels following the river Serpis gorge, as mentioned in the Lonely Planet Guide (Gandia).
