“Unspoiled corner of Italy with exceptional scenery and affordable restaurants”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2011

Unspoiled mountain scenery and access to huge sandy beaches makes this a fabulous holiday destination, not yet widely recognized outside Italy. The local village is a farming community and has two restaurants, both highly affordable despite the weak pound! (€15/head max. including the very acceptable local wine!). The villa is spacious and having been recently refurbished, bathrooms and kitchen are modern and function well. This is a wonderful place to go even outside the main holiday season, as we did in October; the weather was still warm (mid-20's). The villagers welcome tourists, and we were invited to join in the olive harvest which was in full swing even though our Italian is negligible and refreshingly, their English was of similar standard. We will certainly return, possibly in the Spring.
