Very Good

“Highly recommended...”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2017

My husband, sister, mother and I stayed here for a week in September to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday and play a little golf. This lovely villa is situated in a peaceful, residential area - exactly what we were looking for. The downstairs living and dining areas are rather glamorous and modern. Upstairs the three en-suite bedrooms are spacious and more traditional. The pool area and gardens are lovely and very well maintained. Above all else however, was the level of service provided by Nuala. She was utterly brilliant throughout the whole process. She provided us with a number of restaurant recommendations. All of those that we tried were excellent - 'Zagolas' (walking distance from the villa) where we ate three times; 'The Fisherman's Shack' (excellent seafood); 'Chico's' (so friendly and super Portuguese food) and Il Lamparo (beautiful setting on the marina). We encountered a few minor issues in the villa (e.g. the safe would not work), but these were rectified immediately. I would highly recommend both this Villa and and Nuala.

“Simply stunning - do as little or as much as you like!”

Villa Nuala is pretty easy to get to from Faro airport. Once there, the facilities are so fantastic, it is tempting to want to stay pool-side all holiday. But resist the temptation as there is a vibrant area to discover in Vilamoura with plenty to see and do. The local restaurants serve great food and service throughout the area and you can visit a different establishment everyday, all of a equally high quality.

Owner's reply: Thank you Suri for your nice review. So pleased you had a lovely first stay in Vilamoura and that you enjoyed Villa Nuala and all the facilities at the villa. Vilamoura is a fantastic place. It's advantageous that Villa Nuala is so perfectly located and that you can share that experience. Hoping to welcome you back at Villa Nuala again in the not too distant future. Best wishes.

“Lovely modern and clean villa with ideal location”

Fantastic villa with the harbour and beach a short walk away. Child friendly, ultra clean and great communication form the owner throughout our holiday. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her and we all had the relaxing holiday we needed! Would highly recommend for anybody looking for a quiet and luxurious villa in Vilamoura... we will be back!

Owner's reply: Thank you Matt for your nice review. So happy you all enjoyed staying at Villa Nuala. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes.

“Stunning Villa”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2016

Villa Nuala doesn't disappoint! It's in a great location with a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the Marina with all its restaurants and shops. The villa has 3 lovely ensuite double bedrooms, a spacious living room and dining room and a large fully-equipped kitchen. There was no problem with our early arrival time and the maids had done an amazing turn-around in time for our arrival - everything was spotlessly clean! The villa has a beautiful garden with great views on to the adjoining golf course. Hours were spent on the sunbeds by the lovely pool - we were lucky to have really hot weather every day so the pool was a godsend! Nuala sent masses of useful information about the area which made our stay so much easier and we had several good meals out and just one or two cocktails! The nearest supermarket is Jafers, about 15 minutes walk, and has everything you might need; a taxi back to the villa - it's a long hot walk when you have lots of shopping - is only a few euros. We can't recommend Villa Nuala highly enough - a huge thank you to Nuala and her management team - we hope to return!

We've stayed in Vilamoura several times, in several villas, but this one has just sneaked in at the number one spot for both quality location and the assistance and information provided by Nuala. She sent us lots of valuable info re restaurants, shops etc before we left for Portugal and was very accommodating as to our early arrival time, as were the cleaners who had the place spotless by 11.00am! The villa is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with 3 good-sized double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a really well equipped kitchen. The BBQ area was much used, as was the pool and surrounding seating. There are sun-beds and beach towels for the heat of the day and lovely seating area for breakfast first thing and a glass of wine and a chat in the evening. The pool and private garden overlooking the golf course are both beautifully maintained, as is the villa. When the maid came to do a towel change, she washed up, swept and cleaned the floor - boy did I feel guilty! We had a lovely. relaxing holiday, strolling down to the beach and marina as well as the crazy golf. Thank you Nuala, we may well be back!

“Gorgeous villa in a stunning location”

Villa Nuala is such a lovely, relaxing place to spend your holidays in Vilamoura. The villa, pool and gardens are stunning and are all kept to a high standard. We could not have asked for a better place to be. We paid extra to have the pool heated which was great. My husband, two young children and myself spent a lot of the time in the pool with pool inflatables and were very happy to spend most of the day at the villa before walking, or getting a taxi, into Vilamoura for an evening meal which is only about a 20 minute walk away. Maybe 25 minutes with young children! Nuala and her management team are excellent, very organised and efficient, and so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them as they really want you to enjoy your time and relax at the villa. We certainly enjoyed our time there, so a big thank you to you Nuala and your team!

“An amazing villa with stunning views overlooking the golf course”

We were a party of four - mother and father accompanied by our 22 year old daughter and her boyfriend. The booking process throughout was exceptional and Nuala was extremely efficient and helpful throughout. On arrival we were delighted with the layout and location of the villa. We arrived early (10 am) just as the previous occupants (who gave us a glowing account of their stay) were leaving, Nuala had already told us that she was more than happy for us to leave our cases at the villa, allowing us to walk into town, whilst the cleaners, who were lovely and very accommodating, cleaned the villa - which was immaculate on our return. There were three large double bedrooms, all with ensuites with double sinks. Normally there's a bedroom that stands out from the others but we all agreed that all three bedrooms were lovely. There were plenty of white fluffy towels in all the bedrooms and towels for use on the sunbeds. The outside space was spacious, peaceful and very relaxing with a stunning view of the golf course. The lawn was beautifully manicured, surrounded by palm trees and beautiful scented shrubs. We were blessed with continual blue skies and hot sunshine for the duration of our stay and the pool was well utilised though out our stay (there were a couple of lilos, a very large rubber ring and ball for guests use.) The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything you would expect to have at home. The lounge and dining area are stunning and beautifully furnished. The marina was a 15 minute stroll from the villa; providing a hub of restaurants, boutique shops, cocktail bars and stunning views of the sea and the array of impressive boats. We were extremely lucky to be staying during the final of the Euros and were privileged to watch and celebrate Portugal's victory with other holiday makers and the locals. The atmosphere was electric. We ate out most nights but we did make use of the BBQ one evening, enjoying the tranquil setting and the beautifully lit up pool. There was a crazy golf course very close to the marina; two 18 hole courses, one slightly easier than the other. We went there on two separate occasions, late evening when it was cooler (it was open until midnight). We highly recommend this villa and have no doubt that we will return in the near future. Thank you Nuala and to your lovely staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.

“Pure relaxation”

Villa Nuala is ideally located between Vilamoura and the never talked about Quarteira which we absolutely loved. Its situated on a lovely residential road with equally beautiful villas. It is tastefully furnished throughout and the kitchen is fully equipped for a 5 star self-catering holiday. We had a memorable barbeque outside looking at the flood lit pool and garden. Nuala is a wonderful person full of local knowledge regarding restaurants and shops etc. and she really wants anyone renting Villa Nuala to have a wonderful holiday.

“Lovely, lovely holiday”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2013

From the moment we walked through the door we knew we were staying in a beautiful villa. Very spacious and clean. We went with our daughter and two small children. The upstairs bedroom is ideal for grandparents, having their own space when required. Downstairs bedroom easily accommodated two parents, 7 month old and 3 year old. The upstairs newly refurbished ensuite bathroom was great as was all the villa really. Ideal for extended families - not all constantly on top of each other. The pool and gardens were beautiful, the pool was heated and was ideal for the young children. Well maintained. We did think of hiring a car for the children, but we decided against this as the walk to the marina and beach was a good form of exercise to burn of any excess food!! Even with the young children this was not a problem, sometimes we did it twice a day. The booking arrangements were very well handled and detailed information was given to everything that was needed. Loved Vilamoura, quiet in the day, great for 'people watching' at night, sitting in one of the many lovely restaurants. In all a great holiday, beautiful villa, couldn't fault it. Only downside was we should have stayed longer than a week!

“Fantastic villa in great location”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

Villa Nuala is a fantastic villa situated in a lovely area of Vilamoura approx 20 mins walk to Marina & beaches. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, the pool & gardens are well tended and the outlook over the golf course is really nice. Internally the villa cannot be faulted - the rooms are really spacious and everything you need is catered for. Nuala, the owner, was very helpful with our booking and gave us lots of info. about restuarants/supermarkets etc. before our holiday and also booked our airport taxi transfers. Also, as our arrival flight was early in the day, Nuala kindly arranged for us to drop off our cases whilst the maids were cleaning, which was very helpful - we were then able to go into town for lunch or chill around the pool. Some changes/improvements (all great) have taken place since the photos were taken - there is now a fence seperating the boundary of the villa from the golf course, new tiled floors have been installed, twin bedroom ensuite bathroom has been refurbished, new sunbeds and three large sun umbrellas are around the pool. Pool towels are also provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Nuala.
