“Superb villa”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2017

Just returned from 2weeks at Casa Anme. Lovely well equipped villa for adults and our children ranging 11years to 6months. Perfect location for beach and marina, there is a little road train but we didn't bother as only a 20min walk. There are other great places to eat much closer in the old village. We also went to the aqua park which is a short taxi ride away costing less than €10. Rosinda the housekeeper was very helpful and the couple of times we needed to call her she was extremely prompt in getting the issues fixed. Would highly recommend

“Perfect 50th celebrations!”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2017

Casa Anme was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with 7 friends. The villa had everything we needed - great pool, all the things you would expect and more. It was in a great location - quiet but within walking distance of supermarkets and the marina with it's bars and restaurants. Graham, the owner, was more than helpful and even met us with a bottle of something pink and bubbly - what a great holiday - 5* We'll be back.

“Ideal villa for families.”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2016

Excellent service provided by Graham. Villa ideal for families with young children. We were 2 families with 5 children ranging from 2-5 years. Excellent for this age. We walked to marina. We did bring scooters with us as well which were great in the sweltering heat. Pool excellent and some times like getting into a lovely warm bath. Very secure and made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Stayed for 10 nights. Would recommend this villa to anyone. It is our 5th time staying on vilamoura always with different villas and some that looked more modern however location cannot be beaten. If we return to vilamoura we will definitely be booking Casa Anme.

“Beautiful villa in fantastic location in Vilamoura”

Reviewed 23 May 2013

We travelled to stay at Casa Amne mid-May 2013 with our 4 year old and 5 month old children. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Graham Parker with a beer or wine and got a tour of the villa which was most helpful as well as some local knowledge of the area. The villa was beautiful and well equipped for a large family group in a lovely quiet area 10-15 minutes walk from the marina. The pool area was lovely with an enclosed area to keep children away from the pool when not in use. Also a great BBQ in the well maintained garden. This is the first time we rented a villa and overall it was a great experience and we hope to return there in the near future.

“Lovely Villa and Pool. Very relaxing and comfortable. Enjoyed by all.”

We had a thorougly relaxing week by the heated Pool. Weather superb, and location ideal. Lots of comfortable sofas for evening relaxiation. A personal welcome with glass of wine ( or beer) really appreciated after travelling. Will hopefully return soon.

“The perfect home from home!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2012

The best and simplest review I can write for this villa is that I want to live in Portugal and I want this to be my home! I travelled with my boyfriend and family in June 2012 for 2 weeks and could not fault this beautiful home that Mr Parker has made for his guests. We were pleased to meet Graham Parker on our arrival; a charming Englishman who we discovered has been living in the area for about 10 years now. He ensured that we had everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay and his superb knowledge of the local area would come in handy for us later on. The 4-bed villa is set in a beautiful location just a very short walk away from the marina in Vilamoura. Busy as the marina can be at times, you feel a million miles from it in the very large back garden of the villa when the only noise you will hear is the crack of golf balls being driven down the fairway of the golf course behind the marina. You may also hear a passing plane but always remember, that this is the route home from Faro, so any plane you see will be leaving and you can feel sorry for the poor souls leaving Portugal while you sunbathe in the back garden. A huge, beautiful tree sits in the back garden with the garden around it and almost stands and looks proudly over the more than adequately sized pool and sun loungers. An array of lilos and water toys were a great addition, even for ones of a mature nature :) Also in the garden is a beautiful built in barbeque (which was used on a few occasions) and a wonderful patio area with table and seating on the terrace looking over the pool. It was the perfect base for brunch by the pool and a few sangrias as the afternoons wore on. Downstairs in the villa contains a huge living area, dining table and from what I am told a new refurbished kitchen which was all more than adequate for the 8 this villa holds. A separate utility room was a handy and pleasant surprise with a little yard to the side to dry your clothes quickly in the Portuguese sunshine. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom finish off the downstairs. The bathroom looks to be designed to highest spec, and both the twin and double bedrooms are beautifully decorated. The double bedroom downstairs is huge, with patio doors leading out on to the terrace and a beautifully decorated ensuite with a huge, tiled walk in shower. Upstairs there is another bathroom (of the same high design) and another twin and double bedroom. Both of these bedrooms open out on to a stunning balcony terrace looking out over the back garden and the golf course behind. This is a complete suntrap, comes with a lovely table and chairs and makes for a lovely few nights with a glass of wine watching the sun go down! The villa is located perfectly within Vilamoura. A leisurely walk would take about 10 mins but in the glorious sunshine, it was never a chore. Just a few hundred yards down the street is a local supermarket, which has everything you will need for your stay. My father very gladly took on the chore of fetching the freshly baked bread in the mornings for breakfast! There is also a little pub beside the shop if the walk there gets too hot and you need a drink to cool down - I discovered this when all the men in the group decided to go to the shop "to get the daily papers". As I mentioned earlier, Mr Parker's advice became very valuable to us on our trip. Not wanting to eat at the Marina every night and pay over the odds for food that was priced for tourists, he was able to recommend a wonderful array of very local restaurants for us to try. The food in these places was traditional Portuguese fayre and about half the price if not more than at the Marina. Don't get me the wrong, the Marina is stunning but if you want to eat like the locals, ask Mr Parker about Za Galo, La Cabana, Retiro des Campones and Jacinto (for the fish lovers). He also directed to us to BJ's Oceanside Bar where we enjoyed our last Friday eating fabulous food and listening to live music overlooking the beach. All in all, I really cannot find any faults with the villa, the location or Mr Parker himself. We knew if there was anything we needed, he was at the end of the phone and that was very reassuring being in a place where we didn't speak the language or know our way around! This villa will appeal to anyone who wants to go away and enjoy some peace and quiet in the sun with all that Vilamoura has to offer within easy reach. I very much hope that I will be back in Vilamoura some day and if I am, there is no question in my mind as to where I will stay!

“Surpassed all expectations in a fabulous way.”

The owner of this villa could not have done more to make us welcome. The villa itself was like a stay in heaven. The location was ideal and the accomodation and decor were perfect. We also had a housemaid midweek and a welcome pack which was much appreciated. I would certainly return there and would love to bring my whole family-maybe one day!

“ideal location for Marina and Old Village”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2011

The Villa is within walking distance to both marina, central villamoura and the old village and saves on using car or tourist train. The villa had good facilities and pool for families, particularly in the psice range. My only grip was there was never enough hot water for all family to have a shower. The pool was great for the kids, but on the down side it was under a very large tree we had to scoup off masses of pollen and seeds daily which was quite a bind and a nightmare doe asthma or hay fever sufferers. the owner was on hand on arrival and gave us good instruction and called in during stay. was helpfull when we reported a chair which we found damaged on our first day.

Owner's reply: Sorry about the hot water shortage, I was unaware of it as nobody had mentioned it - now fixed.

“Ideal for family holiday”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2011

Nothing too much trouble for the owner, greeted upon arrival. Location excellant, short walk to old village and a slightly longer walk to marina-15mins. Lovely restaurants at marina. Plenty of sunbeds, pool cleaned daily, villa clean. Only one down side water was not very hot for showers on the evening. All in all an excellant holiday.

“Lovely big villa in a great location for Vilamoura's attractions”

Reviewed 19 May 2011

This was our second stay at Casa Anme and we've booked again for October this year, that in itself speaks volumes. Graham, the owner, was waiting for us both times, complete with beer and wine in the fridge which was most welcome after the early start and flights! My son and his cousin were in the heated pool within minutes of arrival. The villa is very clean and well equipped, and there's plenty of room inside and out to relax. Location wise it's perfect too, a 10 to 15 minute stroll down to the marina and beach where you'll find a wide variety of places to eat and drink...and people watch! The locals are all very friendly and tolerate the tourists making zero effort with the try a few words, it makes a big difference. In the other direction is the 'Old Village'(actually a fairly modern development but built in a nice style) where there's a decent little supermarket and a few bars and restaurants. From Vilamoura there are numerous trips you can take, either to the older towns nearby or to the waterparks. We don't bother with car hire because of this and the availability of so many bars and restaurants locally, combined with the swimming pool and comfort of Casa Anme. Thoroughly recommended and I can't wait to be out there again.
