Traditional Portuguese house - renovated and decorated in a modern and very comfortable. It is ideally located in the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, the best place to start discovering the wonders around the Douro river and the historical charisma of Porto. It is just a metro ride from the center of Oporto. The surrounding area of the house is also worth a visit, especially the famous Port Wine cellars and the banks of the Douro River, overlooking the iconic Ribeira and D. Luis Bridge. Beautifully decorated home, full of history and exquisite details. It has a very cozy atmosphere reinforced by the beautiful wooden staircases and authentic stone wall. It has a living / dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs there is a very spacious and elegant suite, while on the lower floor, a second bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed. It is absolutely perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends looking to embrace Portuguese hospitality.

Getting around

Across the Douro River, Vila Nova de Gaia takes you back to the early seventeenth century of port winemaking, when British merchants turned the wine into the after-dinner drink of choice by adding a pinch of cognac. Its large inns are imposing on the Douro, inviting you to visits to wineries, tastings and dinners on terraces with scintillating views of the historic center in front. Currently, Vila Nova de Gaia is a modern and well-developed city, with excellent transport services, including the direct metro connection to the city center of Porto (only 10 minutes drive!).

Interaction with guest

One of the best reasons to stay in Gaia is that you can do almost anything on foot. However, there are many public transports close by, such as the metro and several buses that go directly to the city center of Porto.
