Description

Close to the beach and a short walk to bars restaurants and parks, the particular attraction of this apartment for us was the windows in every room and French doors in the living room leading onto Juliet balcony. They are all large traditional double French windows (with shutters) from which there is plenty to see. In the living room you can observe a bustling thoroughfare on one side and on the other a view over rooftops to trees, harbour with the boats' masts, Fort Carre and mountains. We love the location on the harbour side of the old town but with its very close proximity to La Courtine and the Ramparts along Boulevard D'Aguillon. It is close to parks for the children, bars and restaurants, shops, beaches and the harbour. It is very easy to 'pop back' during the day from any part of Antibes old town. With wifi, aircon, double glazed traditional windows, newly fitted and well equipped kitchen with dining table and refurbished living area, shower room and bedrooms

There are 2 bedrooms accessed at either end of the apartment. One has a double bed and the other 2 singles which can be joined to make a king sized bed with a comfortable mattress topper.

Antibes is ideally placed for trips to outlying villages or towns in the mountains along the coast. Buses and trains are good value for money and Cannes, Monaco and Italy are easily accessed without a car. (You don't need a car unless you want to venture further afield, say up into the Alps to visit the wolves of the Alpha Park, do horse trekking or walking and even then, given parking in Antibes is tricky and can be expensive, we often hire a car for the day/s we need it). The climate is fantastic and we have had some great Winter Breaks with sunny strolls, beach picnics, afternoons in the park, dining al fresco in the afternoon mixed with the Carnival at Nice and Winter activities (snow walking, skiing, Alpha Park) 1-2 hours drive away.

Vieille Ville (Old Antibes)

La Courtine runs alongside Boulevard D'Aguillon and the front-door to the apartment is 10 yards from the start of La Courtine and the Place des Pecheurs (Promenade where you can sit, ride bikes/scooters or play ball games) all within a couple minutes walk from the Gravette Beach. There are far-reaching views across Port Vauban, the OId Port and the mountains beyond from the apartment. Being in the old town, there is a fantastic choice restaurants, bars and boutiques along the shaded traditional streets of the Old Town within minutes of the apartment.
