“Excellent property”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2015

Even before travelling , contact with, and advice from owner indicated what a pleasant and comfortable stay was ahead . Property is extremely well fitted out and the cleanliness and daily service enhances the experience ,a relaxing an comfortable vacation indeed.. Our luggage was delayed and the assistance from letting agent was over and above what could be required of them and I am sure expedited the rapid recovery . Location is perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and bars and security is evident but unobtrusive and I have no hesitation in recommending to any prospective tenant who appreciates a good quality property.

“Beautiful, secure apartment with amazing views...”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2014

We stayed at Pembroke 403 for a week in December, we were greeted by pure luxury...the apartment is very spacious and well furnished with beautiful artworks on the walls. It is situated in a very secure complex, with very efficient security personnel. It has two lounges and having three TV sets - one in the main bedroom, meant we didn't have to fight for a remote with our little ones..and there is a collection of great books and novels for those lazy afternoons...and it has great views from the balconies....one of the Waterfront and the other of the Table Mountain. My little ones enjoyed watching seals from the balcony...and fireworks on New Year's Eve... It's a few minutes walk to the V&A and the One & Only and because we were three families booked around the same complex, it was easy and safe to walk to other apartments even at night. Eilis and her team were very helpful in getting us settled...and we would recommend this place to our friends and family.

Thank you Sthombe for your kind remarks and so glad you all enjoyed your stay. I'm glad you mentioned the books. We, especially my husband Séamus, are great book collectors of all sorts and we like to have these available for our guests. It's nice when on holiday to have some special interest books on the area to peruse. We also like the idea of having novels that can be swapped - easier than bringing a full bag of books too and fro by air. Also nice that you found the range of TVs to be useful and it means children can watch what they want either on TV or DVD while leaving the adults in peace to watch something else. Or maybe one wants to watch sport and another a movie... We ourselves love to sit on the Marina balcony and watch those slothful seals lazing about below while the young ones can be very playful in the water. There is just so much to see and do from just doing nothing and relaxing to many types of activity in the immediate vicinity. I'm so sorry we don't have availability for the Jazz Festival this year but hope to be able to welcome you back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future. All the best for 2014. Éilís

“Wonderful Experience - Truly a 5-star Accommodation!”

Reviewed 26 Dec 2013

My husband and I traveled to Cape Town with another couple. We found Pembroke 403 via a search engine and are so thrilled we chose to stay here. The owners were very easy to communicate with during our booking and very helpful in suggesting places to visit and things to do. The location of the apartment is perfect - close enough to the V&A Waterfront but very quiet and peaceful with amazing views from all the windows - both the view of Table Mountain from the back and the Marina view from the front. The apartment is very well equipped and very well decorated - exactly as you see in the pictures. Very comfortable place to relax after seeing the town during the day. We will definitely be back!

Thank you Lisa & Dave for your kind words. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at Pembroke 403. Given your extremely busy lives, I'm sure it provided a very welcome haven of peace and tranquility when you were not out and about. Ye certainly packed as much as was humanly possible into your short few days but there is still so much more to explore when you find some time to come back to Cape Town. Meanwhile, I hope you both have a wonderful 2014. Éilís

“Luxury home away from home...”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2012

The entire experience staying at Pembroke 403 was very enjoyable. Our flight into Cape Town was delayed, but the management company was keeping track of us and knew we would be late checking in. The apartment itself is spectacular! Comfortable and spacious, and the views are just magnificent. It was a wonderful place to kick back after a hectic day of seeing Cape Town. Eilis and Seamus were very helpful and informative and happy to help with information about Cape Town. The cafe at the gym is a short walk away and was very handy for morning coffee and breakfast. We found the area to be safe and the usual caution re: big cities is required when moving around the city. Access to all the Cape Town spots was easy, either a short walk or drive away. We arranged a taxi on our first night for a dinner in the city and were able to use him all week long. Pembroke 403 offers a great alternative to a hotel stay!

Hi Cameron, Renata We are both so glad you enjoyed Pembroke 403 as well as your Cape Town trip so much. I trust you had a safe journey back. We look forward to welcoming back to Pembroke 403 at another time in the not too distant future. Meanwhile, keep well and have a wonderful Christmas. Eilis

“Extremely impressed with the apartment, the contents, style and scenic views”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2012

I think that the apartment is superb as it is and does not need any further improvement, although it may be wise to convert the small TV lounge into a new bedroom in case you have 4 guests and require 3 bedrooms. The location is fantastic with great views of the marina as well as the table mountain. It is finished with very high end finishes. You may want to consider dual view DSTV as kids normally want to want to watch different programs to the adults. The Bank & Olufsen music and TV system is great, maybe a little complicated and high tech for some, but we were OK with it because we have a B&O music system ourselves.

Thank you so much Chandra. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I take your point about dual view DSTV and will look at it. Re the 3rd bedroom v's second lounge: it was a conscious decision to opt against the 3rd bedroom despite having the space to do so. We felt that the open and extra space afforded by the 2nd lounge was more in keeping with what we wanted to create. However, we are cognisant of the fact that there are times when separate or additional sleeping accommodation is required. To this end and after much searching, we commissioned and shipped a pair of very smart day beds from Switzerland. These convert very simply to a pair of full comfort twin beds or a king bed on properly sprung bases in a very clever fashion. The guest wc and large shower room service this area. We enjoyed interacting with you before your arrival and are thrilled that everything was just as good as we had led you to believe. We look forward to welcoming you and your friends back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future. Eilis

“Absolute Luxury”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2012

Having been a regular visitor to Cape Town for close to a decade now, my wife and I decided to stay in The Waterfront this year. We had previously stayed at The Cape Grace Hotel but in more recent times have enjoyed the flexibility and extra privacy that renting a villa or apartment can offer. With this in mind, it is with much fortune and luck that we discovered Pembroke 403. For those travellers who don't mind paying that little bit more than normal, then look know further. Pembroke 403 offers you everything that a luxury 5 star hotel anywhere around Cape Town would but MORE and is surprisingly priced at relatively the same level despite the additional offerings that Pembroke 403 has. From the moment you deal with Eilis (the owner of apartment) in making the booking, you are left with the feeling that this is certainly going to be a property that is of an exceptionally high standard. This initial impression certainly doesn't waiver upon meeting Andre/Roscoe who check you into the apartment. When walking into the apartment, one is blown away by the sheer size and beauty of this carefully and lovingly furnished property. From the Bang & Olufsen TV's through to the beautiful artwork adorning the walls, this really is a property that you will love. Added to the 2 large balconies, 1 of which overlooks the marina and the waterfront complex and the other perfect for some afternoon sun whilst reading a book or taking a drink and looking at the magnificent Table Mountain views. The apartment is well located to take advantage of everything that Cape Town has to offer. It takes advantage of having the One and Only Hotel within a 2 minute stroll for those that would like to take advantage of the luxurious spa and/or the 2 fantastic restaurants in-house (Nobu and Reubens). Guests are also within a very safe 5 minute walk to the main Waterfront complex that offers various forms of shopping and entertainment for all budgets. Additionally, the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are within a 10-15 minute drive for those sunlovers. All in all, I would not hesitate recommending Pembroke 403 to anyone that was looking for a luxurious and spacious apartment that has everything that a top grade hotel does and yet more - you will be not regret it and I hope that you can enjoy your stay as much as both my wife and I did on our visit to CT in Jan 2012.

Thank you Sean for your most generous comments about our Cape Town jewel. We have put a huge amount of effort and love into making Pembroke 403 just about as perfect as possible and we constantly try to add little extra touches each time we visit. We try to ensure that our guests get as much pleasure from their stay as we do ourselves when we are lucky enough to be in Cape Town. It is so nice to get feedback like yours and we are really delighted that you has such a good time. We look forward to welcoming you back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future. Meanwhile, take good care of yourself and your good wife. Eilis
