Verona

To visit Verona is natural from the central Piazza Bra buildings from different eras and architectures. L; Arena, Palazzo Barbieri and Gran Guardia are the most famous and admired, but not least are the Fountain of the Alps, the Liston with its palaces, Visconti walls, the statue of Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tower Arriving in Verona by car (A4 exit Verona Sud or Verona Nord) or by train (railway station Verona Porta Nuova), you enter the town admiring the white stone facade NEW dOOR, masterpiece sixteenth century military dellarchitettura. It follows a wide tree-lined avenue by which time, exceeded the gates of the Bra el; adjacent Pentagon Tower, you enter the square and to the heart urbe button. We start visiting stroking the equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II, built by citizenship in 1883 to honor the ruler who was the architect; dtalia units, on the fifth anniversary of his death. Behind it, in the middle of fir trees that adorn the central garden, the Fontana delle Alpi, which since 1975 commemorates the twinning between the city of Verona and Monaco of Bavaria. The Veronesi affectionately call "Štruca lemons" for that its unique shape reminiscent of a juicer, and love to celebrate the great sporting achievements with a swim in its waters. In front of Palazzo Barbieri, headquarters dellamministrazione municipal and meetings of the City Council. And an impressive neoclassical building that was built between 1836 and 1848; inspired by the shapes of ancient Roman temples comes with a majesty that gives rise, providing a global view of the entire facade. The central part consists of a Corinthian portico projecting accessed for unampia steps, dominated by a large triangular pediment in which is placed the coat of arms of the city. The two wings are decorated with large half-columns that amplify the monumentality and mark the rectangular windows of two floors; those on the first floor dominated by hollow arches, and the second by a mezzanine below the roof. we see the right part of the circle of walls made built by Gian Galeazzo Visconti at the end of the fourteenth century, during the brief period of the Lombard domination of the city. Just beyond stands the GRAN GUARDIA, a monumental palace that seems almost to want to compete with the large amount of; Arena; It started in 1610 it was inaugurated only in 1853 because of constant interruptions in the work. On two floors and an attic has a length of almost ninety meters, with thirteen majestic arches of robust rustication that support the main floor. This stands on an architrave with metopes and triglyphs, finely punctuated by large rectangular windows separated by paired Doric columns, framed in harmonic unalternanza of triangular and curved pediments. Above all the top floor, which it seems a kind of precious crown placed on the head of a king. On the northwest side of the square the LISTON, A WIDE SIDEWALK IN STONE ROSE paved in the eighteenth century, following landamento curvilinear of the square, on overlooked by noble buildings that house bars, pizzerias and restaurants, always crowded with tourists passing through Verona and intent to make the living room. To; Ottolini is the splendid palace of Sanmichelian taste, immediately followed by the fifteenth Guglienzi building whose façade is a Madonna and Child "created by Morone. At number 18 is the Righetti palace, which is a fresco attributed to Caroto. alongside stands the sixteenth-century Palazzo MALFATTI HONORIJ, designed by; the Veronese architect Michele Sanmicheli who continued with its arcades in ashlar the powerful features monumental dellanfiteatro Arena. its facade is a fine example of perspective that alludes to the classic arcade marked with drafts and linserimento of heads in the mainstay, while the main floor, which is divided into airy balconies and elegant windows, it further amplifies the magnitude.
