“In a great position in an interesting building”
This apartment is very functional. It is situated only 5 minutes walk from the Arena in a beautiful old building. It is convenient for buses to the train station (airport, Venice etc) and lake Garda. Marco is very helpful and provides very detailed information prior to your visit. We did not meet him, his mother greeted us at the apartment and she was a very pleasant lady and we managed to understand everything she was telling us with her limited English and our complete lack of Italian. My only criticism, is that the apartment is a little dark first thing in the morning and late evening and did smell of smokers when you first walked in (which for a non smoker is a little unpleasant). We had some difficulty with the extension lead to boil the kettle which kept tripping out, but we reported this, so hopefully Marco will sort this out. There was some road noise, but it is to be expected in a City.
I'm really glad you had a pleasant stay with us and I would be happy to see you back next time you're coming to Verona. I just want to apologize for smoke smell you've noticed, I'll investigate this and do everything is possible to prevent this to happen again, also cause smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. For what regards the extension lead we've yet bought a new one, I fully understand anyway that has been an inconvenience for you and we will try to improve on this side, thanks for reporting! See you next!! Marco
“Amazing stay in the most beautiful city in Italy”
The apartment in located in a charming and well-preserved 17th century palace, but has all the modern comforts. We chose this apartment as it advertised to be close to the Verona Arena, and it was. We attended two separate performances, and the Arena was located at an easy 5 minute-walk, in the same street of the hotel. Close-by to the apartment, there were plenty of restaurants and nice shops. We had a rental car, which we did not really need in Verona, especially staying at this apartment, and when we asked the the owner where we could park the car, he sent to us a very detail;ed guide, with nearby parking garages and costs. We ended up staying at an open parking charging only 5 euros for 24 hours, and a 10-minute walk back to the apartment. During our 6-week vacation, we visited Rome, Naples, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Tirano, Genoa, CInque Terre, Turin, Milan and Verona, and out of all our stays, Leoncino apartment was indeed one of the nicest. The apartment was comfortable, clean, charming, quiet, and very safe. Our two teenagers stay in the convertible sofa beds (two individual seats), and the beds were so comfortable, we wanted to trade with them. This apartment was the best deal, for how much it offers and the very reasonable rates, even in high season, like the Summer Opera Season. Last, but not least, this apartment had the best (fastest) internet service of all the apartments we used, which is key when traveling with teenagers who want to be connected. When we return to Verona, we will stay here again.
