The Valais region
Verbier is part of the Four Valleys ski area, also encompassing the resorts of Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Thyon. It attracts thousands of skiers from across Europe who come for its unrivalled off-piste skiing, extensive on-piste runs and legendary nightlife.
Skiing extends from the town at 1,500m to the peak of Mont Fort at 3,300m and with a huge network of lifts, there is a ski run for all abilities.
There are over 50 Restaurants in Verbier and we would be happy suggest a few for you during your stay.
There are also a host of bars ranging from the buzzing Farinet and Mont Fort Pub, to the more laid back atmosphere of Crocks and King’s Bar.
For apres ski we would recommend Fer a Cheval, The Farinet or Le Rouge. There are several night clubs ranging from the long established Farm Club to the more modern Coco Club.
The apartment is a short walk (5 Min) to the telecabine at Savoleyres and the Les Esserts and Le Rouge beginner slopes. The Medran telecabine with access to Mont Fort, Tortin and the 4 valleys is a 10 minutes journey by the regular free bus service which departs every 5-15 minutes from near the chalet. You do have the option of starting your ski day at Savoleyres and skiing down via Carrefour to the Mayentzet and Combe chairlift or all the way to Medran.
Vert Pre is close to slopes and is situated a short walk from Savoleyres ski lift and Les Esserts nursery slopes. The main lifts at Medran and the Place Central are both about a five-minute bus ride away using the regular free service.
There is a free bus service in the resort running till 20.00. To get to the Chalet take Bus 2 towards Le Hameau and get off at the stop called Camargue, just past Savoleyres. Alternatively take any bus to Savoleyres and walk to the Chalet (about a 5 minutes).

"Great for three families all staying together!"
We stayed here for a week over half term in May - three families all together. The weather was gorgeous, the mountains still had snow on them and it was really quiet. Lots of walking and eating in mountain restaurants - our favourite was La Marmotte. One of the ski lifts was open to take you up high and walk across to La Marmotte for lunch. This accommodation is two chalets that have been combined. One is larger then the other. This meant that there was a larger sitting area with huge sofas for the adults to chill in in the evening, and a smaller sitting room for the children to hang out and watch a movie. The children loved having their own side! There is a door you can close between the two to give the adults some peace! There is a large table in the larger chalet where we ate all our meals in two sittings - children first then adults after the children were bathed. Plenty of bathrooms and shower rooms in the chalet with plenty of hot water. The downstairs bedrooms are easily accessible. The upstairs bedrooms are accessible only by spiral staircases that are quite snug so not great for the elderly to get up and down. The chalets are clearly holiday homes for the owners and so have lots of personal items around and it feels very lived in. Easy parking right outside. Lots of space to hang coats and put shoes. Activities nearby include thermal spa and tree climbing. Older children can hire mountain bikes. We ate in alot as it was expensive eating out. Make sure you go to one of the big supermarkets to do your shopping. There are a couple of small grocer shops in Verbier that are extremely expensive so avoid these.

"Great for two families"
We were two families and it was nice that the bedrooms were on either side of the apartment so each family had privacy. It was a walking distance from Les Esserts where the children had their ski school and the bus stop for the free bus to all slopes was very close to the apartment. The owners had left us cheap mobile phones to use out and about and they came in very handy when we coordinated each other's whereabouts and plans for meals etc.

"Home Away From Home In The Mountains"
We absolutely loved our stay at Vert Pre. Spacious, comfortable and with a wonderful home-like vibe we all instantly felt at home in the chalet. It was VERY hard (almost impossible) to leave the gravitational pull of the sofa's and that awesome open fire after supper each evening...we sat around and played cards, cups, and all manner of games....only making it out on two evenings! Just the place I want to come back to after a hard day's skiing...and we are going back for more in 2014. Can't wait. Hoping for another bumper year of snow this season...rock ON.
