Description

THE MILKHOUSE is a 200year old stone farm building that forms part of the Gotten Manor estate. The area is rolling countryside and ideal for walking.
The barn has been converted into a delightful and very comfortable holiday home.
It is situated at the end of a quiet fairly narrow lane - tucked away at the foot of St Catherine's Down, just below the Hoy Monument.
Gotten Manor is about a mile inland from the south coast of the Isle of Wight -in an AONB area with some fantastic walks straight from your door step
The house has an open-plan sitting room with views to the cliffs at Tennyson Down.
Downstairs there is a huge dining room/kitchen with picture windows - a shaker-style kitchen with every comfort imaginable.
There is also a wet room off the entrance hall.
Upstairs there are three en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom has magnificent views across unspoilt countryside to Freshwater Bay.
There is full central heating, ample parking and a secluded garden.

“Great location, lovely homely accommodation.”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the milk house, it was just what we wanted and felt very comfortable. The large kitchen is fantastic and all the bedrooms have en suite baths, although the only shower is downstairs. Also one bedroom is accessed via another, although you can get into it directly from outside. All in all a great place to stay and the owners were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.
