This wonderful building is an 1840 Grand Victorian Manor House situated within the conservation area of Ventnor Park with stunning views and a central location. Opposite Clarence House take a walk through Ventnor Park to the beach and stroll the promenade to award winning restaurants and nautical themed pubs; everything is within walking distance from here. The famous Botanical Gardens with its Organic Restaurant and Gluten free specialties is a superb day out, as is exploring all the hidden beach coves and places of natural beauty. Be prepared to leave here relaxed and re-vitalized.

Guest Access

Upon arrival at Clarence House, we will greet you and guide you through the gardens and up to your own private entrance. This leads you into your fully equipped apartment where you need to bring nothing more than yourself and some clothes of course - everything else we provide for you - making it truly a home from home for the duration of your stay. We provide 5* luxury in a beautiful environment. with fabulous guest toiletries, Ipod alarm clock, Nespresso Coffee machine a 42" TV with DVD player and of course soft fluffy towels and crisp bed linen. The gardens are full of lush vegetation and flowers with tables and chairs dotted under shady trees and parasols, just perfect for that morning cup of coffee or chilled glass of wine.

Being an area with so much natural beauty we have many walkers, tri-athletes and cyclists exploring the island. Therefore we also provide a lock-up store for bikes and equipment.

Interaction with Guests

We always look forward to welcoming guests to share our beautiful house and are happy to advise on places to visit, things to see and do; and for the more athletic among us Robert will happily guide and advise cyclists, walkers and open water swimmers. I am better at advising where to get the best cream tea or how to get to the amazing world renowned Garlic Farm or where to take the children for a day of fun and adventure. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for all needs.

The Neighbourhood

We love the peace and quite that is an essential part of The Island. The friendliness of the locals takes you back to a time when saying "Good Morning" to a passer by is the norm and stopping for a chat or just shooting the breeze is all done in an unhurried way. Life is relaxed here and the balance restored to create a for a much happier and calmer environment.

Getting around

Being centrally located to the town, you only need your feet to explore Ventnor. But there is a local taxi company if required. To go further afield there is a regular bus service to all main towns and places of interest. Plus of course car hire facilities at the Ferry Ports.

“Beautiful Apartment”

If you want opulence then this is the place. Just loved this apartment. It was quirky but also very elegantly decorated, in a lovely location opposite the park and within easy walking distance to the town. The outside space was very nice with seating and tables, if you wanted to enjoy an alfresco meal or just a coffee or glass of wine in the evening. This was definitely the nicest holiday apartment my husband and I have ever stayed in.

Stayed at Clarence House some years ago and now under new management the apartments have been very tastefully refurbished. We stayed in Osborne Apartment with one bedroom. Very comfortable and amazingly quiet considering all the other 3 apartments were occupied, it was like we were the only ones there. Everything you needed was provided. Free WiFi and large TV screen. Right opposite Ventnor Park and only a short walk into the Town. We would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we visit the IOW. .
