Description

La Roubine, is an independent, well equiped and confortable holidayletting with a private garden. It is decorated with good taste and taken well care of. Everything is waiting for in best condition including the bed linen and towels.

The bedroom faces south to the spacious garden allowing privacy and peace. The bedroom consists of a really confortable twin bed (1,6 x 2m), night tables, drawer for your clothing (in the entrance there is a double cupboard for hangin your clothes).

The living area has windows in three directions and a direct access to the private garden.

The open kitchen is equipped for food lovers with sophisticated cookware, utensils and even cook books.

La Roubine is a well-equipped and tastefully decorated holidayletting. The living room is decorated with quality furniture (convertible sofa for three, dining table and chairs (4).

The available multimedia and internet equipment, films, music and games provide amusement often needed especially after visiting the various tourist sites in the surrounding area. The equipment consists of a airconditioner, WIFI, TV with over 100 channels, DVD reader and numerous DVD's in English, French, German, Finnish...)

La Roubine is perfect for you who wish to discover the sunny Provence on your rhythm and likes. It is situated in the centre of various interesting tourist sites in the heart of Provence.

Our vacation rental is in the historical village of Velleron, in the Avignon region, between Carpentras and Cavaillon. Velleron is lively village with some 3000 inhabitants famous for the daily farmers market offering a large choice of vegetables, fruit, olive oil, wines, flowers and in summer time the nearly daily concerts or other amusements offered free at the Place de l'Eglise by sun set.

La Roubine is situated in the centre of most interesting Provence tourist routes. The mountains of le Mont Ventoux, le Luberon or the towns of Isle sur la Sorgue, Avignon or Apt, are all in the reach of less than a half an hour drive.

The big green garden offers shady places for afternoon naps or relaxing pauses.

Various activities are available in the surroundings: golf, tennis, cycling, horse riding and bathing. Moreover the nearby towns offer attractive choices for wondering in the provencial ambiance.

We do our best to facilitate your vacation:

- at arrival the beds are made

- you find refreshments in the fridge

- you find fresh vegetables and fruit at the Velleron farmers' market until 8pm every evening (except Sundays)

- the closest supermarket is in 0,5km and open till 8pm and Sunday mornings. They are very kind and have really a good choice of things you need.

- the local bakery is open daily from 7am to 1pm. They offer a large selection of fresh bread. The croissants, pain gourmand et le pain Savane are our favorites

- in the central round-about you find Rouget, an awesome cake and chocolate shop. It is highly recommended to pay a visit.

- next to the cake shop you have Lena for clothings and a further on a flower shop

- the village offers also ready made food: a pizzeria opposite to the post office, next door a Vietnamise food shop, two restaurants (two traditional, the newest one is opening in June 2019 on the main street (a small brasserie run by an excellent young cook), and a creperie (pancake restaurant)

In La Roubine, your privacy is assured.

However, we are willing to help you to plan your stay whenever you need help. Moreover, we can provide you with guides and maps.

We are very happy to help you in discovering the local way of living, the local events as well as the less known places of interest. Actually, we have learnt that this is what many people are today looking for: getting an insight into the local life and way of living, discovering why life quality in Provence is so special.

“The best rental we've ever had. Anywhere.”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2015

My husband and I found this rental, La Roubine, in the small village of Villeron, was rather perfect. Our hosts, Jean Paul and Auli, did everything possible to make our stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The property, which adjoined the owner's home, and with separate entrance and car park area, made for convenience; but also offered every element of privacy. The rental was clean, very well-equipped and met (and exceeded) our expectations. The location was convenient, with nearby shopping, tourism, and fascinating countryside in every direction. And, we were there during poppy season. As a photographer, my photo ops were boundless. We had rather perfect weather as well. We would recommend this, wholeheartedly and without reservation. Thank you, Jean Paul and Auli, and the Trip Advisor experience as well.

Owner's reply: We were really delighted to have you as guests and look forward to eventually receiving you again.

“Lovely host, perfect location”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2014

Auli and Jean-Paul are very helpful , friendly and speak many languages, also mine, finnish. The cottage is well equipped and the garden is beautiful. The location is very good to explore the region of Vauclause.

Owner's reply: In your feedback you underline our linguistic skills. In fact originally these wore elements together with the familiarity with our region, traditions and activities, that encouraged us to develop our holidayletting. We wish to help others in lowering barriers to come and enjoy Provence, not just only offer a place to stay. It is our pleasure that you appreciated your visit.

“Like coming home”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2014

We stayed at Auli and Jean-Paul's apartment in June 2013. We received good driving instructions and good tips for planning our holiday in Provence well in advance. When we arrived late in the evening, our hosts had stocked our fridge with fresh bread, cheese and other supper and breakfast essentials, which was especially nice after a long drive. The apartment was just the right size for two people and the private garden was beautiful. The hosts' two little dogs were friendly and super cute. The location of La Roubine is ideal for people who like to discover the treasures of Provence independently.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your quoting. We were really happy to have you as guests in our holidayletting and pleased to hear that you have good memories of your stay. Warm regards Jean-Paul, Auli and Bonita

“Good accommodation with lovely garden and our host could not have been more helpful”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2012

The cottage was compact but perfectly adequate for two, in immaculate condition and very clean. It had all the equipment needed, and Jean Paul had supplied more than enough food and drink to see us through the weekend. Over the years we had many self catering holidays throughout Europe but this has been our favourite as Jean Paul was the perfect host - very friendly and hospitable. He really couldn't have done more for us ( took us on a picnic in the mountains, to the village festival and even made us dinner one evening when we hadn't been able to get to the supermarket). The property is on the edge of the village of Velleron which has 2 cafes, a small supermarket and a great vegetable market. This is a wonderful area for cycling and walking; the bike shop in nearby Isle sur la Sorgue will deliver to the cottage.

Owner's reply: We are really glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and had a relaxing and interesting vacation. We were really happy to have you as our guests. We had such lovely discussions and good laughs. This kind of exchange is for us like the cream on top of the cake making life pleasant and encouraging us to further develop the offering. We do our best to improve our services continously and try to be open to honest feedback enabling us to develop our services. We wish to offer our guests an unforgetable experience of a relaxing vacation in an environment that offers pleasure to all senses. Warm regards Jean-Paul and Auli Guilland

“Perfect cottage, perfect location, lovely owner (and dog)”

Reviewed 27 May 2012

Excellent small location, perfect for two. Very well equipped to an unusually high standard. Lovely, large garden with tables and chairs. Local village with essentials, very well located to explore Provence, especially the local L'Isle sur la Sorge, best for restaurants and shops. Owner speaks excellent English, more than happy to assist with advice and local knowledge. Easy parking, 90 mins from Marseilles Airport. Strongly recommended, book early !

Owner's reply: Hello Thank you for your kind comment on the vacation home. We really appreciated your visit and hope to see you again. Best regards Auli & Jean-Paul
