The villa is very big and can easily accommodate two families. There is enough space for people to spend
time together or spread out around the villa with numerous balconies and terraces (shaded or sunny) all with panoramic views. The perfect place to sit and read or just relax with a glass of wine. The villa also has a gym/table tennis room. The swimming pool is situated immediately opposite the villa on a lower level. The pool is shared but is normally extremely quiet. There are numerous tables and chairs around the villa and also sun beds.
Almunecar is situated on the Costa tropical which has a micro-climate with sunshine all year. Almunecar town is situated beside the sea with mountains all around. It has a handsome Moorish castle sitting above the town between the mouths of two rivers. Almunecar has managed to retain the atmosphere and character of an old Spanish town with winding narrow streets and tapas bars. To the west of Almunecar is the Punta de la Mona, a pine clad

There is a range of water sports here. Beyond is the pretty horse shoe bay of La Herradura. Along the coastline are numerous beaches and sheltered coves. To the east is the whitewashed village of Salobrena with the peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background. The Sierra Nevada mountains are approximately one hour away, where during the winter months you can ski.

It is possible to seat 12 people around the dining table by bringing in extra chairs from outside or bringing another table inside as well to give more room. However, people normally eat outside where there are numerous tables and chairs to be able to all sit together.

The Sierra Nevada mountains are the second highest mountain range in Europe, the Sierra Nevada National Park is an uninhabited rugged wilderness with snow on its peaks for most of the year. It also has Europe's most southerly ski resort and has some superb climbing and mountaineering opportunities.

The foothills of the Sierra Nevada are known as the Alpujarras, a region of beautiful whitewashed villages, with distinctive Berber architecture, set in attractive valleys and terraced fields. It's excellent hiking territory, especially if you're willing to strike off into the hills with a tent. Some of the villages in Las Alpujarras that are worth visiting include Bubíon, Capileira, Lanjarón, Órgiva Pampaneira, Travélez, Yegen, and Valor.

Granada's coastline is known as the Costa Tropical because of its high year-round temperatures. Augmented by excellent crop irrigation from the snowmelt of the Sierra Nevada, this tropical climate creates the perfect growing conditions for sugar cane, avocados and fruit that are usually found in more southern climes.

The Costa Tropical of Granada province is particularly picturesque beachside, and easier to get away from the crowds than its neighbour The Costa del Sol.

The mountains run right down to the sea and the coastline is typically a series of coves and promontories.
