Our Casita has won the ZOOVER AWARD 2014 and again for 2015 for Best Bungalow in Spain! We are proud of this consumers prize. We are officially registrated under nr: VTAR/MA/01302. A visit to Balcón de Andaluz in La Axarquía in Andalucía guarantees a fantastic holiday. Our Casita Balcón de Andaluz is located in a beautiful area between Nerja and Velez Malaga only 35 minutes by car from Malaga Airport and only 8 minutes to the beach.

The estate Balcón de Andaluz spans 6000m2 of terraced Mediterranean landscape. This is an enchanting oasis where depending on the season you'll find olives, almonds, oranges, lemons, pomegranates, figs and avocado's flourishing on the grounds. Alongside the fruit trees, you'll find pines, cactuses, agaves as well as flowers like Hibiscus, Aloe, Bougainville, Oleanders en Straelitzia. Our Balcón boasts an impressive view of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains.

CASITA:

Our Casita has a spacious living/bedroom and a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom.The living / bedroom is attractively furnished with a wink to the Orient. There is a new 2 pers. bed of 1.5-2m with a new comfortable mattress . There is a table with 2 chairs, a couch(in summer outside) a chest of drawers with board games, a full bookcase and a built-in linen / wardrobe too. A flat screen TV with DVDplayer, WIFI, air conditioning( by extra costs) and a fan are there too. In winter you can hire an electric heater.

Most guest don't need to use the aircon because of the fan. The kitchen and bathroom are separate. The sliding door opens to the terrace. There are several illuminated private terraces with 2 lounge chairs.

BATHROOM:

The spacious bathroom has a sink, a toilet and a shower / bath and hair dryer. You can hire the electric heater and under floor heating in the winter. There is plenty of cupboard space.

KITCHEN::

The new kitchen is fully equipped. There is a Senseo or NESPRESSO (a filter coffee machine is also available), electric kettle, toaster. fridge freezer and a microwave /grill and oven. Cooking is on electrics.. For outside cooking You can rent a BBQ on gas for €25 a week,€35 for 2 weeks(gas included).

SWIMMINGPOOL:

Your private pool is round and has a diameter of 4 meters. The pool is open from May till October (depending on the weather). An outdoor shower is available. At the swimming pool on the very private terrace you can enjoy the sun on one of the 2 loungers.

Balcón de Andaluz is located in Algarrobo a 8 minute car ride from the beach and boulevard. Algarrobo Pueblo is also nearby, a 15 minutes' walk. This is one of the many authentic Spanish white villages of La Axarquía region. The Balcón is especially central, making it a convenient home base for many interesting day trips to the sites like Nerja, Frigiliana, Comares, Alhama de Granada, the Alpujarras, the Sierra Nevada, Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Gibraltar, the spectacular Camino del Rey and the nature park of Torcal.

In winter you can have fun by going to ski. In less than a 2 hours drive you find the large ski resort Sierra Nevada. An adult ski area with over 100 km of pistes and 30 lifts. Guaranteed snow from December to mid-April.

Other sports that you can practice are mountain biking, cycling, kite surfing and golf course on one of the many golf courses for example in Torre del Mar.

Less than 10 minutes from our Casita Balcón de Andaluz there is in Velez Malaga a big shopping mall El Ingenio. Here you will find more than 100 shops, including the large Eroski supermarket. Parking your car is very easy over there.

Algarrobo Costa has also two good supermarkets: the Lidl and the Mercadona. A visit to the weekly markets of Algarrobo, Torrox and Torre del Mar are also recommended.

Torrox and Nerja are locally known for its many bars with live-music, especially the jam sessions. Do you play an instrument and / or do you like to sing? Then it is appreciated if you play or sing some songs with the musicians. Every night is a surprise. There is often music from the 60s and 70s. However, the youngsters also brings modern music and sometimes they make real Spanish music. We're willing to give you tips when and where the jam sessions take place.

Beach lovers can indulge themselves on the sandy beaches of Algarrobo (with the blue flag of outstanding beach), Torre del Mar, Nerja, Torrox and El Morche. The beaches have good facilities and are equipped with numerous chirinquitos (cabanas) with a specialty of Espetos the Sardines on their menu. And don't miss the many restaurants. We are happy to advise you where you can have a culinary experience.

How do damage deposits work?
