“Gem of the Valley”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2018

This is a very well equipped house with superb views all round. First, hidden away but yet easy to find. Rural but yet convenient with shops just 15 min drive away. Charateristic is not how I would describe it but it has all you need for a weekend get away. Total of 17 of us, 8 kids and 9 adults. The kids had a great playground, trampoline and a football goal. They can entertain themselves. For the dads, we had a man cave, aka bbq house. We had a fire, we bbq-ed and we drank. For the mums, hot tub. The beach is literally a stone throw away, its own gate to get to it. I cannot think of any negatives at all. We didnt need to get anything apart from food, drinks and wood. The master bedroom was amazing with its own lounge bit and sofa. As holiday house/cottage go, you dont get better than this, and we have been to quite a few. We book every year as a group to go away. Bearing in mind, we were here for one of the wettest and windiest weekend and it was still good. A few suggestions which I will feedback if you‘d like them. Small things, nothing negative.

Owner's reply: Hi Paula, Thank you for your lovely words. Yes if you can contact me with your suggestions that would be great. Thanks Jane

“Wow! What a house”

Reviewed 26 Nov 2018

When we walked through the door of this beautiful house we were amazed. It is huge yet cozy with the wonderful log burner in the lounge, the kitchen and dining areas are just gorgeous and there was plenty of room for 18 of us to be together to eat and play games. The views are incredible both day and night and having such a gorgeous beach on the doorstep for the dogs was perfect. The garden with BBQ hut and hot tub made it the perfect venue for the weekend. Thank you Jane as the process from booking to leaving was first class. We will be back.

“Fantastic Views”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2017

I have just spent 4 nights at Trefonen House With my family to celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time. The house was beautiful with gorgeous sea views. The younger members (and some of the older ones) thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the BBQ Hut. Kayaks were rented one day and they were delivered to the house which was ideal as access to the beach could be gained from the garden. Lots of lovely eating places around, in particular The Black Seal in Trearddur Bay. Would definitely stay at Trefonen House in the future

“Stunning views from a stunning house”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2015

We stayed at this house for my 40th birthday, it really was a perfect location with stunning views over the estuary, my personal favourite was sitting with a cuppa first thing in the morning on the sofa in the master bedroom - couldnt beat it, absolutely lovely. When we first walked into the house, its fair to say we were gobsmacked, its been done out to a very high standard, each room was another gem. Our group consisted of 10 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of room for each adult couple to have a room to themselves whilst the kids loved sharing the bunk room together. I know this is a fairly new let, however it had everything we needed to hand. We didnt venture far as the children were happy playing on the beach, in the rock pools and games in the garden (under bright blue skies in October too!). All in all, a fantastic holiday and comes highly recommended. Worth noting that the pub in the village has an excellent play area for the children and also the meal we had at another pub 4 miles away called the White Eagle was also extremely enjoyable.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed your birthday celebrations. Thank you for booking our holiday home.
