“Great location in Valletta.”
This flat is in an ideal location to enjoy Valletta, and also travel by passenger ferry over to Sliema. Although it is above a busy road, this does not detract from the character and fun of this fantastic holiday property. We came in late May when the temperatures are very pleasant and ideal for walking around. And what a place Valletta is - it really is a unique, “out of this world” holiday destination. We’ll be back!
“Perfect for that City Break in Valletta”
Firstly - the owner of this apartment is very helpful and one of the best I have known. As per the previous review, it was cold on the first night but the owner delivered a new additional heater the next day which did help but still didn't manage to get the temperature above 16 Celsius inside. Location is perfect if you want to explore Valletta - this is really a "City Break Apartment". The apartment is clean and well stocked, bed is comfy and the Wi-Fi works fine. There is a cash and carry 10 mins walk heading south that keeps everything you need. Downsides which have no reflection on the owner or on this apartment which may have been useful to know. 1. Whilst there is a carpark a short distance away, even in February the parking was an absolute pain to get a space and on weekdays you will get blocked in. If getting a taxi from the airport and exploring on foot then this is no issue but I had a constant battle from the moment I arrived with parking. 2. I am very allergic to feathers and I think there must have been a number of feather pillows in the apartment. 3. If you need quiet to sleep then this is not for you. Being in a city it is very noisy but we expected that. So to summarize, if you want the Maltese culture on your doorstep, a comfy bed and great views then this is it. If you like quiet nights, ease of parking then maybe not.
“A perfect, centrally located apartment in the heart of Valletta”
While not our usual rental in Valletta before this visit we have now found a very lovely place to stay on future visits. The apartment itself is on the second (2nd) floor of a small complex with sweeping uninterrupted views of Sliema and only a few minutes walk to the Sliema ferry. The fully equipped kitchen although useful, went unused on this stay due to the many wonderful restaurants nearby making cooking in, unnecessary. The building has no lift, and the apartment is serviced by the traditional Maltese staircase which can prove interesting if you have a lot of luggage. The host was wonderful and was able to provide detailed assistance whenever it was needed, but that didn't prove to be necessary on this stay. Airconditioned and having a typical Maltese balcony the apartment was a great place to base ourselves during our stay in Malta, and we will certainly be back. I can totally recommend this apartment to prospective guest however those with mobility issues will need to consider the access carefully.

“Absolutely excellent (as all the other reviewers have already said)!”
What can I add to the existing reviews? The apartment is great - stylish and modern within the possibilities of a historic building. The views from the balcony are stunning. The location is perfect - City centre a couple of hundred metres away, swimming a few tens of metres (once you've discovered the 'secret' tunnel!). Alexander, the owner is friendly and welcoming. The free WiFi works beautifully - you'll need it to Whatsapp your pictures of the views from the balcony to everybody in your address book without running up a huge bill!. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment except that I want to come back soon so I don't want you all to book it for the weeks I want!! Suggestions - 1) don't miss the Three Cities - take the lift down to the ferry from the Upper Barakka Gardens. The lift back up is free with your ferry ticket. Eat in 'Tate' in Birgu its the best Veggie cafe/restaurant in Malta. 2) Buy the 7 day bus ticket on day 2 of your stay - its a complete bargain and it will take you back to the airport on day 7, worth the Euro 6.50 on its own. 3) Book for the Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni online, long before you travel to Malta, - It's amazing, but always fully booked. Get a big discount if you're over 60 too. 4) Don't miss the temples at Hagar Qim and Mnajdra - stunning - most impressive of all the above ground ones. 5) Take a long bus ride to Mellieha for the great beach, Ghadira nature reserve (Autumn til May only) and eat in Tosca on the main street in Mellieha - best food in town and very reasonably priced. 6) Enough of my suggestions - do everything else too, Hasting Gardens, the free Fortress Builders museum (you can see it from the balcony on your extreme left), Mdina, Rabat, Gozo...... Drink Cisk and the local wine - all good.... Stay longer!

“Well designed, comfortable, didn't want to go home!”
This apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need. The air conditioning works well and there is constant hot water. The location is excellent and the views from the balcony are wonderful - we spent hours out there. You are in a perfect position to access the centre of Valletta, walk round St Elmo's Point or indeed anywhere in the central area. There are literally dozens of places to eat and drink - we loved Trabuxu (pronounced Tra-boo-shoo) on South Street. There are shops which have a Tardis-like ability to supply everything you could possibly need from a minute floorspace and a very good fruit and vegetable shop just up the street towards the Manoel Theatre. And do visit the Manoel theatre, opened in 1731 and still doing business today. We had a wonderful week with great weather and one stupendous thunderstorm. The neighbours were quiet and we slept well. Alexander is welcoming and full of information, also most obliging and thoughtful. The whole booking and arrival process was easy and smooth. My handy hint is: don't be alarmed when you wipe the table with a wet cloth - it goes grey but just leave it, it will dry off quickly and look normal again. We panicked! The only suggestion I would make is a couple more hooks in the bathroom. All in all, a wonderful stay in an unusual and comfortable flat, we plan to come back. I need to take a few hundred more photos from the balcony of the sun setting over Mdina... ;)

This place was ideal. Pefectly sized and had everything a couple could need for a week or more. We could self cater with ease and yet still eat at wonderful places close to home in beautiful Valetta. The views are even better than the photographs and we could not recommend it highly enough. Everything from ease of booking, the care and attention of the owner during our stay, to the sheer delight of the apartment itself. Even the handy hints and restaurant tips in the visitor book added to the experiece and showed us that others appreciated this place as much as we did.

“A real gem.”
We loved our stay here. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable. The view was spectacular. There was always activity of interest in the harbour. We were very happy to enjoy the scene in every spare minute. There were many excellent places to eat within a few minutes walk. Proximity to the centre of Valletta, and the Sliema ferry was excellent. There were a number of small shops nearby where we could buy basics and the local people were incredibly friendly. The apartment was fresh and clean. It lived up to its description in every way. Perfect for a couple, but not for anyone who has a problem with stairs or steps. Many thanks, Alexander.

“Book this apartment - book it now!”
This apartment is the perfect place to stay in Valletta, being only 5 minutes walk into the very centre of the city, and to all of it's attractions, shops and restaurants. It is also 5 minutes from the Sliema ferry, which is very handy for shopping. You couldn't ask for a better view from the dining area AND the wrap around balcony - watch the yachts coming and going out of Marsamxett harbour, with the beautiful Manoel Island (built by the Knights of Malta) and Sliema as the backdrop. The balcony gets the sun in the later afternoon (October/November visits - we've been twice) and is the perfect place to relax after a day out. The apartment is in a charming traditional Maltese building, but is very modern inside and is comfortable and very well equipped (washer/dryer, microwave, DVD, air con, wifi etc etc) - basically everything you could need. The apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs, and Valletta is quite steep in places, but with my mildly dodgy knee I managed OK. Alexander is a great host, and the welcome treats he gives guests are most welcome (wine, bread, cookies). For food shopping you have M&S and the Wembley Store just a few minutes walk away in Valletta, or across the harbour in Sliema there is a supermarket in the shopping centre at Tigne Point. For restaurants we would definitely advise you find your way to La Mere on Merchants Street - it is our favourite restaurant in the world - no kidding! We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
