This apartment was originally a two bedroom apartment but has been renovated to have a large dining room table, open plan kitchen and balcony overlooking the covered fresh produce market in front of the apartment, a double bedroom in the middle (cool and quiet) and a back living room with sofa, sofabed and back balcony. The high beamed ceilings keep it cool in the summer. A modern bathroom with shower, wc and bidet. All furniture and utilities are of a high standard and make this a home from home. It can sleep 4 adults as there is one bedroom but the back living room has a double futon.

Due to the age and style of this building, this apartment doesn't have a lift and is on the 4th floor. Therefore wouldn't be suitable for people who have mobility problems or with very small children.

This flat is our home for most of the year and so is of a high standard, clean and with everything you need. We ask that you respect the furnishings and neighbours.

There is a public swimming pool / excellent Gym 5 minutes away . And tennis courts, baseball, basketball, rugby anf football pitches, free outside gym, table tennis tables and small lake for rowing all found in the Turia river. You can also hire bicycles from a place downstairs. Valencia is perfect for exploring by bicycle and a good way to ride down to the beach or into the country, so you are surrounded by the fruit trees. Please ask me for more information on cycle routes in and around the city.

The Valencian Country region

Valencia has a wonderful climate all year round.

The towers you can see from the apartment are where the old city walls used to be and you can still see the potholes from the civil war. The flat is in a perfect location as it is central but without being in a tourist zone so you can still get a feel of life in valencia for the locals and have supermarkets, local bars and restaurants.

As well as being close to the main touristic squares of Valencia, less than a ten minute walk north and you are at the River Turia where the water has been diverted and is now a 10 km city park. At one end you have the new BioPark zoo and at the other you have the City of Arts and Sciences and then the beach. The main high street shops are a ten minute walk (or one metro stop). For nightlife you are spoilt for choice as, if you head towards the towers you are in the lively 'El Carmen' district but for something away from the crowds go left and explore the area around Calle Juan Llorens. For those of you in town for buisness, the Palacio del Congreso is only two stops by metro or a few minute taxi ride.

Valencia

Places of a must, to visit whilst in valencia are -
-Historical centre (too much to mention here)
- City of Arts and sciences
- Dry river bed
- Malvarossa beach for a paella and a quick dip
- Botanical gardens (2 minutes from flat)
- Try the local hortchata

When to come
It is always nice in Valencia but the best times are in March for las fallas festival, In July for San Juan festival (bonfires on the beach) and August for La Tomatina, a festival in Bunol where there is a lot of tomato throwing. Bunol is a short train ride away. The train station is a ten minute walk southof the apartment or the bus station is ten minutes north. July and August are great for the long warm days and relaxed feel of the city.

Places out of the city include the whole coast down to Alicante (for beaches and mass tourism) but inland you can go skiing in Teruelo or visit the wonderful city of Cuenca. The castle in Segunto, the rice fields of El Saler and so much more..
