It is located between Nimes and Avignon, near the Alpilles, the Camargue and the Cévennes, close to the iconic Pont du Gard and the first duchy of France (Uzès). The Renaissance village of Castillon du Gard overlooks the valley of the Gardon. The keys to open the door to Provence are in your hands. Even if you prefer a holiday without a car, this village has a baker, a butcher, a newsagent, Post Office, weekly village market. You can relax and unwind without the need to travel should you want just a quiet time. Those wanting to explore will find a wealth of interests close to hand. Most guests leave wanting another few weeks to try and see all that is to offer. If you need to stay in touch with the modern world then the property has a free WIFI connection and the property has a Mac computer provided so you can also play music and watch TV through free on

Uzege

Coast/Beach approx 65 kms. The national park of the Camargue is just over an hour's drive away. One of the most natural protected environments with its symbolic flamingoes, bulls and wild white horses. 80km to Espiguette beach. The King of Languedoc's beaches with kilometres of fine sandy dunes. (Swimming in the river locally at Collias or Remoulins also possible).

81km to Calanques Natural Park located in Cassis. The Calanques hold a fragile natural heritage with an impressive diversity.
