Location description from owner

The England region

We are on the Dorset/ East Devon borders one mile from Lyme Regis town and the beach in a country lane, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Little Roost is just off the East Devon walkway which runs between Lyme Regis following the River Lym through to Uplyme village. A rural paradise for nature lovers and walkers. Easy access to Jurassic coastal walks with nearby Charmouth, Golden Cap and numerous scenic, unspoilt beaches along the Dorset/ Devon coastline.

Uplyme

Lyme Regis is full of unique, independent gift shops and specialist food and drink retailers. There's a cinema, theatre, brewery and a variety of pubs and cafe-restaurants to suit all tastes. A thriving local music and arts community provides numerous events throughout the year along with frequent art exhibitions and small galleries.

Lyme Fossil museum is a magnet for both adults and children and there are several local shops selling genuine fossils, gem stones and crystals. A guided tour of the fossil beaches is available - visit Lyme Tourist Office for details .

Nearby Honiton and Bridport are famous for their antique shops and markets with prices to suit all tastes.

All along the Jurassic coast are beautiful, uncomercialised beaches. Lyme itself offers both a partially sandy beach and ancient fossil pavement walk .

Exeter, with its ancient walls, pretty quayside and historic cathedral is around 45 minutes drive away, providing all the standard large store shopping with John Lewis and other major department stores.
