With three windows facing the garden the well-appointed kitchen is a spacious, light room. Extremely well equipped with a plentiful supply of crockery & glasses and a dining table that can seat 8 persons, this area provides an excellent area for food preparation and dining experience. The kitchen door to garden takes you to the decked patio and offers a practical and stylish spot for alfresco dining, or simply relaxing.

Just off the hall the light comfy sitting room with sofas and armchairs ensures a relaxed place after a day exploring. Whether you are watching TV, reading books or planning the next day using the internet and local maps - this is the place to do it!

A second reception room, know as 'The Den' has DVD player and another sofa maybe its a place for younger members of the family to have their own space.

On the first floor there are two king size bedrooms, the Lavender and the Provence bedrooms both with windows and views of Market Street. Both have kingsize beds, lots of storage space and the Lavender bedroom has an ensuite shower room.

On the top floor, with coombed ceilings and dormer windows looking over Ullapool, are two well appointed cosy attic rooms, both with twin beds. Tartan Red bedroom is still called Annes Room and the last homely bedroom has been nicknamed Bo Peep. Between the two bedrooms there is a useful dressing room with chests of drawers and cupboard, a great area for storing suitcases and clothing. All these lovely light filled bedrooms have superb original art adorning the walls.

For guests convenience there are two family bathrooms, on the ground floor a spacious tiled bright family bathroom with bath and electric shower, on the first floor a light filled shower room with electric shower, both have toilets and wash basins. There is an en-suite shower room in one of the king bedrooms.

The enclosed garden with large decked area and build in seating is a great place for sun worshipers as it catches the sun; with grassed area, flower beds and patio pots what better place to spend the long summer evenings. A lockable garden gate ensures a safe area for children.

“Great house, terrific location.”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2016

I booked this house for a group of 6 who were walking / mountaineering in the area. Booking was easy and Dianne was fine with me changing dates, arriving late etc. A big step above our usual standards (we're used to hostels) it was very comfortable, well kitted-out with plenty of space for 8. Very clean and well-maintained, beds were comfy and house is in a good location, close to shops/pubs etc. No negatives whatsoever. Will probably stay there again.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review Chris, very pleased you and your group of friends enjoyed Kildonan House. Lots more mountains to climb so we'd be happy to welcome you back.
