Description from owner

Description

Holly Cottage is very quaint and traditional but with many modern comforts. It is centrally located within the thriving community of Ullapool and is also ideally situated for exploring the Northwest Highlands. Holly cottage has a dining kitchen, living room, sunroom and bathroom on the ground floor with one double and one twin bedroom upstairs. The large private garden is accessed via the sunroom and outdoor seating is provided.

It is great for couples or families with older children but due to the traditional, steep, wooden stair it may be less suitable for very small children or frail older adults.

“A little piece of heaven”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

Our first impression of Holly Cottage was that it was quaint and in the perfect location. Once we explored a bit more and found all the little extras that we were not expecting we realised that we had found an absolute gem of a cottage. the extras? Washing up liquid, kitchen towel etc! We were very comfortable and our 5 year old daughter loved the coombed ceiling in her bedroom. The weather was kind to us although pretty cold, but the storage heaters made the cottage very cosy. Will definitely be back!

“A superb high-standard cottage in a lovely location”

Holly Cottage is conveniently located for all shopping and facilities in Ullapool. It has ample parking (we had 2 cars). The cottage layout is perfect for 4 people, with the sun room being an added bonus as a dining area. It is nicely decorated throughout and everything we needed for a week away was there for us - it was a true home-from-home. It's a cosy and welcoming place to go back to after a day out walking. The wifi broadband was yet another bonus. I will definitely stay at the cottage again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

“Didn't want to leave”

Lovely cottage. The conservatory is a big bonus as is the garden when the weather is good. Spotlessly clean, it has all you need to enjoy a stay in the most beautiful part of Scotland.
