Description from owner

Description

Stunning appartment as part of barn conversion in quiet rural location, 2 miles from the sea; shop and pub within walking distance. Very comfortably furnished with under-floor heating, large shower, kitchen/living room, free wifi & ample parking.

It is a tranquil retreat in a rural setting with off-road parking and offers superbly comfortable and contemporary, one-bedroomed accommodation, approximately 2 miles from the seaside village of Mundesley and its lovely sandy beach. Mundesley is one of only 6 Norfolk beaches (71 in the England) that were awarded the Blue Flag status! The studio offers a perfect base for those who love walking and cycling, with access to miles of country walks and quiet lanes.

Trunch is just 15 minutes drive from the traditional Victorian seaside resort of Cromer and 20 minutes from the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The village is also close to the charming Georgian market town of Holt and National Trust treasures, Blickling and Felbrigg Halls as well as Blakeney Point which is a haven for sea-birds and offers regular boat trips out to its seal colony.

If its bird-watching, discovering the North Norfolk coast or the Norfolk Broads that you are after, then Homefield Barn Studio is ideally situated. We also have good pubs close by, including the Gunton Arms, the 2013 Michelin Pub of the Year (3 miles away)!

We welcome well-behaved dogs (one only) that are over a year old (they must not be left attended) at a cost of £4/night. Please advise us when booking - thank you :)

“Lovely stay in a quiet village”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2018

We had a lovely time in Norfolk and the barn was exactly what we needed and a great place to stay. Thank you for the biscuits! Tiggy is a lovely host.

“Lovely comfortable accommodation, the perfect stay with our dog.”

We stayed for 3 nights, the accommodation is in a very pretty location, perfect for exploring the fantastic coastline of Norfolk and the city of Norwich. It is beautifully presented to a very high standard with everything you need. Lovely and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay and a great night sleep. Tiggy made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Homefield Barn, well equipt and nicely furnished, quiet and peaceful we were lucky the weather was beautiful. A weekend break wasn't long enough so we will be back for another visit.

“Truly amazing!”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2012

Me and my other half stayed here for a long weekend, and it was perfect! The place was lovely, it had everything you needed, a very well equipped kitchen, the shower was great the views and walks around the village were lovely. Shops just a short drive away, this place is perfect if you are wanting to be away from it all but also close enough for days out. We would defiantly stay here again. Would also like to say the owner is a very lovely and kind woman. Thank you for having us :)

“Highly Recommended”

Beautifully converted barn. Very clean and comfortable and in a quiet location. Ideal base for visiting the Nolfolk coast, the Broads and Norwich. Would certainly like to return sometime soon.

“great studio”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2012

Stayed in this studio for three days in August, it is a really lovely studio whith lots of space.very clean and well mantained, would stay again.

“A little piece of heaven!”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

I can honestly say that this is the best self-catering accommodation that I have stayed in. It did not feel like holiday accommodation as the apartment was so highly appointed and beautifully furnished. The facilities were first class and it was lovely to have access to wi-fi within the property. The bed was very comfortable which is something that I think most people struggle with when away from home. The property was ideally situated in the village of Trunch where there is a pub and a very handy convenience store within walking distance. In addition, I would also like to say how lovely the owners were. On hand and ready to help with any queries and we were welcomed with genuine warmth. I cannot recommend Homefield Barn highly enough. If you are lucky enough to find it vacant, don't hesitate to book it!
