“Fantastic country cottage, with lovely views and cosy country pub.”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2014

my husband and I stayed here Christmas 2013, as its close to relatives and friends but we like our own space!. cottage was much nicer than we,d expected, a barn conversion turned into two cottages. ours was cosy and very well decorated with lovely furniture, downstairs was a lounge and kitchen with dining area, with everything needed for self catering. upstairs was a beautiful beamed bedroom very in keeping with the country cottage feel and look of the place.it was all very clean, fresh and welcoming. felt at home! Brian the Landlord of the Lamb on the Strand Pub, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, he even lent me a cafetiere and fresh coffee to use as I'm a fussy coffee drinker! views out the back and from bedroom were amazing, fields, trees and lovely countryside, we even saw deer. Food in the pub was fantastic, we especially enjoyed the Tapas menu, which we enjoyed sitting by a roaring, open log fire. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and pub and hope to stay there again soon.
