Tring is a small market town in the Chilterns easily accessible from London Euston by train (35 mins) or London Marylebone into nearby Wendover (40mins).The M25 is 11 miles away with links to the M1(15mins), M40(25mins) M4(30mins) and M3(40mins).

There is plenty to do in the area with some lovely walks in the vicinity. Ashridge Estate and Wendover Woods are within a quick drive. The Rothschild family settled in this area and the Tring Museum is a great place to explore. Waddesdon Manor is within a 20minute drive. Many other National Trust homes within an hours drive. Whipsnade Zoo and Woburn Safari Park also under half an hour drive away.

Tring High Street has a a good selection of cafes, several restaurants, wine bars plus a new craft gin bar, gift shops, brewery and farm shop, supermarkets (M&S and Tesco), post office ad bank so all is close at hand and within walking distance of the Coach House. Good bus routes to other local larger towns being Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Aylesbury and the city of St. Albans. Good taxi services too. Please note Tring Railway Station is just outside Tring therefore a bus/taxi/walk from the centre.

The Coach House once served the main house The Grange.

The Cottage comfortably sleeps 3 guests (1 double and 1 single). Open plan sitting/living room with a galley kitchen. A small sofa bed is available in the sitting area so could house another two guests if necessary. Travel Cot or standard cot available.

* please note that whilst we are more than happy to have elderly people to stay some who have stayed who have not been so mobile have suggested that the narrow staircase, bathroom on the first floor and and that the bathroom with only a bath have been difficult to access so please take this into consideration.

We are always more than happy to interact with guests and over the years have met some amazing people and children however we also accept that some just want privacy too. Whatever the scenario we are just keen to make your stay as comfortable and as 'home from home' as possible.

“Lovely stay”

We had a lovely week at The Coach House. Daniela literally has thought of everything you might need on a stay away from home. The welcome basket was lovely, the wine went down very well! The house is lovely and it is in a perfect location to get to places in the surrounding areas. Tring is a 5 minute walk away where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend a stay there.

The cottage was absolutely lovely Daniela had thought of everything and was every bit the perfect host ! Nothing was a problem can't wait to stay again ! Loved it !

“Lovely cottage with lots of thoughtful extras”

A really warm and friendly welcome awaited us at a beautiful cottage. It was a home away from home with lots of thoughtful extras like toys for little ones and even a home baked sponge cake! The cottage was very well equipped and we had a great stay.

“Excellent accommodation”

Property is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The cot provided was great and the beds were comfortable. The owners (and their dog) are very welcoming. We will be booking again.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If DANIELA (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
