'The Olde Barn',a semi-detached stone cottage in a lovely countryside setting at Trewidlands 6 miles from Looe, East Cornwall. Polperro is 11 miles and Liskeard approx 4 miles. Plymouth is 14 miles. Looe and Polperro are well known and picturesque fishing villages, popular with visitors, Looe boasting a good sandy beach. A short distance further down the coast are St Austell & Fowey. A good coastal position for exploring the many local attractions of East Cornwall whilst being in easy reach of Plymouth. This is a spacious and gorgeous cottage, recently converted from a barn. Great trouble has been taken to retain the original character of the building with high beamed ceilings, exposed stonework etc; complemented by attractive and quality furnishings. The cottage is all ground floor. One of 2 adjacent barn conversion cottages amidst a small number of other cottages in a quiet rural and secluded setting at the end of a short lane. There is an attractive front courtyard style garden area with patio and garden furniture. Linen inclusive. Electric & gas inclusive. Central heating inclusive. No babies or children under 16 years. This cottage is Non-Smoking. There is a dedicated off the road parking space at the rear. No pets.

The Cornwall region

East Cornwall has great beaches (including whitsand Bay beaches), quaint old fishing villages, National Trust properties and easy access to the city of Plymouth with its many attractions. East Looe centres on its broad sandy beach, with the distinctive Banjo Pier. Stretching back from here is a grid of narrow streets forming the main business area of the town, packed with many small quaint shops, fish and other restaurants and pubs, and the Old Guildhall, now a museum. Along the estuary lies the quay, with several fish dealers. West Looe spreads west from the bridge on the Polperro Road towards Sclerder, and along the river south of the bridge with restaurants, a few shops and pubs. A few miles further down is the scenic fishing village of Polperro, probably cornwall's prettiest. Plymouth has a mass of attractions; boat trips up the Tamar Estuary to Calstock, the Elizabethan house, famous waterfront Barbican area of Plymouth, National Trust properties including Mount Edgecumbe house and gardens, Plymouth Aquarium (probably largest in Europe),.A short drive further down the coast is St Austell and the Eden Project.
