“Lovely cottage”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2015

Lovely cottage in good location. Cottage was clean and cosy. Well equipped. Good location to walk to the beach or drive into padstow

“Honestly, the best self catering cottage we've ever stayed in!”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2014

We had an amazing time staying at Windmill Cottage. The style & feel of the whole place, as well as the attention to detail was perfect. Gail was ever so helpful & the little touches such as cream tea & flowers on arrival made all the difference. We will definitely be returning!

Thank you so much for your very kind review, glad you liked the cottage & the cream teas! We would be very happy to welcome you at Windmill Cottage in the future. with best wishes Gail

“well appointed cosy cottage in convenient location”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2014

we had a great week at Windmill cottage. the furnishings and decor are cosy and welcoming and all of the bedrooms are a decent size, the two in the original part of the cottage are particularly light and airy. the garden is a good size and the location is very convenient both for padstow and the constantine / trevose / seven bays area. the main road doesn't create any noticable noise in the cottage with the windows closed on the road side so i would not be put off by this. although this wasn't a problem for us, if you drive a wide vehicle like a large 4x4 you will find it very tight pulling in and out of the driveway.

Thank you so much for your very honest review, it was very helpful & will be very helpful to future guests. I am so glad you had such a nice break at Windmill Cottage - we do try to keep it looking good and functioning well as a home from home for both ourselves and our guests. Do come and visit again! with best wishes Gail

“Beautiful Cottage in a lovely setting”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2014

The Cottage is well maintained in a lovely setting and the fresh flowers, scones and clotted cream was a lovely touch. As a first trip away with our little one it was a lovely setting and no more than five minutes away from Padstow which made it ideal for us. The cottage is finished to a high standard and well stocked with games to keep kids entertained. We loved our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer

Thanks Mark for your comments, so glad to hear you had a great first trip away with your little one and that Windmill Cottage worked well for you with best wishes Gail

“Wonderful”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2014

Our holiday party consisted of two families (4 adults and 4 children all together). Windmill Cottage is well equipped and provided ample comfortable space, the large garden was enjoyed by the children. Windmill cottage is well located- a few minutes drive from Padstow and many sandy beaches all along a near-by coastal path. The boys amongst the group enjoyed mackerel fishing and the girls enjoyed pampering at the Golf Club in Constantine Bay! We spent 2 full days simply crabbing in Padstow. There is so much to do in the surrounding area. We loved it so much that we have already booked up for 2015.

thank you Jo for your lovely feedback, so glad you and your family and friends had a good time at the cottage and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding area, thank you for booking with us again next year. with best wishes Gail

“A cosy and well equipped cottage fairly close to the coast”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2014

Three very nice bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. A lovely kitchen/living room where the kids played while we fixed the dinner. All three bathrooms were first class, and all appliances worked as they should. The tricky part was to get in and out of the narrow gate direct out on the road.

“Great family holiday in a lovely and ideally situated cottage!”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2014

A really comfortable and well situated cottage, in Windmill close to Padstow. Great for coastal walks and a good base for travelling to tourist spots! We had a very relaxing week in the sun and would definitely recommend this well equipt and well kept cottage for rental. Only bugbear was the tight approach to the property from the street (could be difficult with big cars) but small price to pay for a great stay.

“Idyllic Cornish cottage - a little slice of heaven”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2014

The pictures do not lie... this cottage is beautiful in every way, with immaculate presentation and wonderfully tasteful decor. It has all the mod-cons yet still feels rustic and very cozy... We were greeted with fresh flowers, Fresh scones, clotted cream and local jam for all eight of us and logs for the stove, there was even some milk in the fridge which I thought was a very thoughtful touch. The kitchen and living room area is the heart of the cottage and the large kitchen table and benches lend very well to relaxed dinners and lovely evenings in. The cottage is situated a stones throw from Padstow and Trevone Bay which is dramatic as it is beautiful. Lots of coastal walks, perfectly situated on the North Cornish coast. Its a home away from home and I cannot recommend highly enough... Owners very helpful and always responsive A wonderful gem of a place... I cannot wait to go back.

“What a great cottage”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

We had a weekend away for my daughters 21st birthday. The cottage was great from the moment we walked in. Lovely and cosy. Comfortable beds and very well equipped. Close to the beach and close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Padstow, Watergate Bay. Recommended to us and we would recommend to others.

“Another fantastic week at Windmill Cottage”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2013

We came back to Windmill Cottage for the second year after a really great holiday last year and it didn't fail to disappoint the second time around. The cottage is immaculately presented and beautifully decorated. Great location with coastal walks literally on the doorstep, Padstow a blink away and great base for exploring Cornwall off season. Eden Project and Tate St Ives both well worth a visit as is the wine merchant in Wadebridge.

Thank you Andrew for a lovely review - so pleased you've had another good week at the cottage - hope we can welcome you back again same time next year! with best wishes for a very merry Christmas and a happy year ahead Gail
