3 bedroom Villa in Tuscany

Leccetino is a very well designed and furnished Tuscany rental villa, and nothing has been overlooked in creating such a pleasurable setting for you. Having 3 separate bedrooms, all with en-suite baths, makes this desirable villa for 3 couples.

Farmhouse villa Tuscany

The original small farmhouse of this Tuscany rental villa was cleverly connected with the adjacent barn to form a pleasing residence. Leccetino is beautifully furnished and embellished with many interesting artifacts. The arrival level has the main bedroom with walk-in closet and large bathroom with a shower. The bed is positioned for a wonderful view towards the Orcia Valley. On the same level you find the large very well equipped kitchen and dining area, which blend into the large living room, all of which open out onto the wide terrace.

Outside the Villa

The terrace has a covered dining area, a group of arm chairs and the BBQ that completes the scene for evenings spent outdoors enjoying the beautiful panorama with a bottle of local wine. From this terrace and also directly from the living area, you access the garden and a short stroll past the olive trees and a bank of lavender brings you to the poolside. The pool itself has solar heating, should it be needed, and sun lounges, a shower and shade tress, for your enjoyment on this sunny hillside.

Steps from the terrace take you down to two separate and very private bedroom suites. Both have large closets and bathrooms with walk-in showers, one has a queen size bed, and the other has twin beds that can be made together. Both bedrooms open onto the garden terrace with views across the valley. Also on this level is a very well equipped laundry room complete with washer and dryer. In a small cellar you find three bikes for the use of guests to explore the local villages.

Offering amazing views of Pienza & Montalcino

This sizable terrace has an amazing view over the surrounding valleys out to Pienza and Montalcino, with Monte Amita in the distance forming the back drop. Closer by the local village of Castelmuzio completes the view, with sound of the distant church bells adding a real touch of village life as it has been for centuries.

Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d’Orcia, Buonconvento, Petroio, Castelmuzio, Asciano, Montisi and of course Siena are all worth a visit. Distances by car range from 10 to 45 minutes.

Location description from manager

The Tuscany region

Leccatino is located between 5 ancient walled villages that have witnessed many historic events. They were at the crossroads of the continuously warring Principalities of Florence and Perugia, the Republic of Siena, and the Papal State. That is why these 5 Sisters (Cinque Sorelle) are all walled fortified places strategically located on hilltops. Today this is a lush, green and peaceful area just west of the Crete Senese through which you should drive when visiting Siena just 30 minutes away from our house and Castelmuzio.

Trequanda

In neighbouring town of Montisi you can find some different nice restaurants and cafes. Petroio is 3 kilometers east from Castelmuzio and is considered the terra cotta capital of the world where you can visit the small beautiful museum dedicated to terra cotta . From our village of Castelmuzio you can see the tower and buildings of the Sant’Anna in Camprena abbey in which the movie “The English Patient” was staged. Another few kilometers down the road is San Giovanni d’Asso. There you can visit the truffle museum at the medieval castle and make a lovely walk thru a very special forest called Il Bosco della Ragnaia, that is cared for by a local artist. Further west you can visit the Abbey Monte Oliveto Maggiore dedicated to Saint Benedict and in the abbey you can admire 36 frescoes telling the story to the life of the saint painted in the 15th century by Signorelli and Il Sodoma.
