Description

The Bothy was once-upon-a-time very unloved - now it is a chocolate box hideaway with:

Wood fired hot tub exclusively for you;

Luxury heated bathroom on the lower level (freestanding bath sound fun?)

Cute centrally heated living space and super comfy bed on the upper level

Private BBQ area, open outdoor fire

Spectacular views.

More than just Glamping, this is definitely a special place for a romantic weekend away, a marvellous spot to chill out, a great location if you are having an active weekend (some of the best cycling and walking in the area, and of course all the great North Wales adrenaline focused attractions).

And sitting under the stars in your own wood fired hot tub is not to be missed (for your use only!). And sitting under the stars in your own wood fired hot tub is not to be missed (for your use only!). We do the hard work and chop the wood, you just light up and stoke the firebox till you reach the perfect temperature...and let the aroma of the burning wood carry you away to relaxation central! (Firewood for the firepit and the hot tub can be purchased on-site at a friendly rate).

The luxurious bathroom on the lower level is all new – black slab tiles/stone walls with freestanding bath and even an open fire grate and lots of candles – very atmospheric! There is no internal stairway between the upper and lower levels, but we supply bathrobes so you can comfortably wander the short path connecting the bathroom, bedroom and garden area.

The Bothy is set in the grounds of Cae Gwyn, a lovely Georgian country home and offers so much:

sit under the gazebo and drink in the view of the beautiful surrounding hills;

relax with a glass of wine at the picnic table while you prep your delicious BBQ;

cuddle up and watch movies (eclectic collection of movies provided... or bring your own favourites!);

or recline in the bath while your partner stokes up the hot tub.

We have even included a kitchenette for cooking and late night hot chocolates! (mini fridge, hotplate, microwave, kettle...and all the usual accessories).

Why not book now and treat yourself to a few days relaxing, soaking, reading or watching your favourite box sets - we are only 1 hours drive from Liverpool/Manchester and 30min from Chester.

Email us to find out about our guest information booklet which includes the best local restaurants, fun things to do, special sights only locals know about....and even the gorgeous beach dedicated to St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers (voted by Conde Nast as one of the best beaches in Britain!).

Please note sleeps max. 2; unfortunately not suitable for children or pets.

Also available at the same location, our luxury retreat for 2 with own hot tub, see The Hideaway ref 7647226

The North Wales region

Denbighshire and North Wales are renowned for their natural beauty (we are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and superb historical sites: visit the World Heritage site of Conwy; the lovely Isle of Anglesey with its sparkling waters; Snowdonia National Park; the North Wales coast with its fine sandy beaches; the ancient walled City of Chester with its black and white shopping rows (and even the UK's largest designer shopping outlet!).A stay with us gives you exclusive access to our personal knowledge of the local area, whether it be the best places to eat, marvellous hidden gems that only the locals know about, or great days out in the natural beauty of Wales.

Tremeirchion

Not far from the tiny 'city' of St Asaph is this little village with its country pub, school and ancient church. The views into the Vale of Clwyd are stunning and from this property you have gorgeous rural views, a flash of the coastline and even the snowy peak of Snowdon. No wonder this is officially designated 'An area of outstanding natural beauty'. Our visitors are often entranced as they drive through the main gates and see the outlook for the first time! Access to all that Denbighshire and North Wales has to offer is easy, whether it be the mountains of Snowdon National Park, the wild coastline, historical sites or the ancient walled City of Chester.

Getting around

“Fabulous weekend escape”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2017

We booked the Bothy to take a weekend away from it all to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location was excellent for us being less than 1 hour from our home in Warrington. It is less than 10 minutes from the main road, but you'd never know as it is set on the side of a valley facing rolling farmland and Denbigh castle in the distance a few miles away. It really does feel a million miles from home. We watched new lambs on the valley side opposite, whist birds of prey soared above and horses mooched about the paddock, all from a wood fired hot tub! Use of the hot tub was £10 for the stay + the cost of the wood used, and well worth it, it made the weekend. There is also a fire pit Thomas was a great host, and there were some lovely touches at the Bothy including some fresh baked scones.

Owner's reply: So glad to hear you enjoyed our little slice of paradise, lovely to have to have you stay with us for your anniversary. Hope to see you again soon, Thomas & Amanda

“A beautiful place to truly relax in beautiful welsh countryside”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2016

The Bothy is beautiful, very private and quite special. It is small, beautiful and perfectly formed with everything we needed, (including an extremely eclectic selection of dvds!) for a restful and lovely stay. I am now a convert of wood-burning hot tubs - especially when they look out onto such glorious surroundings; in fact the whole outdoor space has been carefully thought out to maximise your privacy, to ensure your relaxation and to take advantage of the wonderful aspect of the Bothy in its gorgeous Welsh countryside.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your generous comments....and your appreciation of the DVD's! And so nice to hear that you enjoyed all the aspects of the Bothy. All the best
