Description

Red Cow House is a beautiful, detached stone cottage set in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The cottage is surrounded by woodland and has a large private garden with a river running past.

The cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps six. We are pet friendly ( at no extra cost ).

There is room for parking at the front of the cottage.

The cottage has a log burner, so you can put your feet up ( or paws ) and enjoy a real fire.

This detached cottage has beamed ceilings throughout with parts of the building dating back 300 years.

Wildlife enthusiasts don't have to leave the garden to see the other residents of this area.

Red Kites are always soaring above, while birds from the surrounding mature woodland help themselves to the feeders. At night you can here the owls calling to each other and see the bats circling the river.

If you enjoy stargazing, come to Red Cow House. The Brecon Beacons National Park has been awarded 'Dark Sky Reserve'

The nearest town is Llandovery ( 6 miles ), where you will find shops, pubs and restaurants.

The nearest village is Trecastle ( 2.5 miles ), with a pub and an antique centre.

Brecon is 12 miles

Hay on Wye is 20 miles - Hay book festival (25th may - 4th June)

Crickhowell is 25 miles - Green Man festival (17th - 20th August)

Abegavenny is 30 miles - Abergavenny Food Festival (16th - 17th September)

The Wales region

Red Cow House is situated in the north of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The mountain range is home to Pen Y Fan, at 2907 ft, the highest peak in south Wales.

The Park has some spectacular features; caves, remote reservoirs, a glacial lake and waterfalls. With the stunning backdrop of the Brecon Beacons and unspoilt countryside, this is the ideal holiday destination. A delight for walkers, bird watchers, those seeking a relaxing break or for an activity holiday.

Trecastle

Red Cow House is located on the A40 in the Brecon Beacons National park.

The cottage is secluded from other properties and has a large private garden.

The nearest village is Trecastle (2.5 miles away), with a pub and antique centre.

The nearest town is Llandovery (6 miles away), a lovely little market town with pubs, shops, tennis courts and a children's play area. The remains of Llandovery Castle overlook the town. Most of the pubs are dog friendly.
