From the owner

Restharrow is a spacious 4 bedroom dormer bungalow, sleeping 8. Located within a short walking distance of Daymer Bay, which has it's own microclimate and safe bathing, it is a perfect place to stay for families with children. Either side are Rock (offering a huge array of water sports and activities, a good selection of shops, pubs, fine dining, and golf at the St. Enodoc golf club) and Polzeath renown for its surfing, with the little gem of Greenaway, along the costal path, which has the most amazing rock pools to explore, in between. Padstow, home of Rick Stein's restaurants, is only a passenger ferry trip away from Rock.

The property has 2 twin bedrooms and a double bedroom, and a bathroom on the first floor, and a double bedroom on the ground floor, with a cot.

Also on the ground floor is a further bathroom with a shower and seperate corner bath, kitchen, large dinning room, and a spacious lounge. Outside is a patio area, with a table and seating for eating out and enjoying the view. There is ample parking for several cars, and the garden is enclosed for child and pet safety. There is a ramp to the front of the property from the drive, for easier access to the house for those with restricted mobility.

The property benefits from beautiful views to Daymer, Brae Hill, the Camel Estuary, and St. Enodoc church which steeped in ancient and fascinating history, is the burial place of Sir John Betjeman; as well as countryside views to the rear of Roserrow golf and country club, the Point, and surrounding area.

We have a high chair, cot and a stair gate. Please ask me if you require the stair gate, we will put this up for you.

Well behaved pets are welcome, but by prior arrangement only, there is an additional charge of £25/dog (max 2) £5/night per dog if your booking is under a week.Pets must not be allowed on the furniture, or left alone in the property. All waste must be picked up outside, or a £35 charge will be incurred.

We have an outside shower, please use this for washing off sand, wet-suits and sandy pets.

COVID-19

Important information

In compliance with the Government Covid-19 Secure guidelines all businesses have to do a risk assessment of their premises, and make the necessary changes and put in sufficient measures to minimize the risk of Covid-19 transmission.

The owners of hotels and other guest accommodation have a duty to reduce workplace risk to the lowest reasonably practicable level by taking preventative measures.

As in line with many other establishments, and after considering risk factors, I will be removing many items to a manageable level to enable me to thoroughly clean and sanitize the property before my next guests.

Books, DVDS, cushions, ornaments, rugs, excess kitchen crockery/utensils, tea, coffee, sugar caddies, toys, games, buckets, spades, surf boards, etc. have been removed.

As I also normally provide and wash all the bed linen and towels myself, under the current situation this is not possible, due to the risk factors to myself and my home. Also due to the decontamination period for duvets and pillows this also poses a risk for myself and following guests, and as such guests MUST BRING THEIR OWN DUVETS, PILLOWS, BED LINEN AND TOWELS.

I will however supply a hand towel for the bathrooms and kitchen, bath mats and tea towels, which will be washed in the house after each guests departure, along with the 3 piece suite protector covers.

Guests upon renting my property have under terms and conditions agreed to comply with my house rules clearly listed on my listing, and again supplied on a laminated sheet on the dining room table and will also need to comply to the Covid-19 rules for my property as set out below. Failure to comply with any of the rules will mean the loss of some or all of your security deposit. I reserve this right as the property owner at my discretion, and as which is non-contestable.

Please

• Make sure you take all your bedding/linen and towels home with you.

• Make sure all food items are removed from the house on departure.

• Make sure all cookware, utensils are thoroughly clean and dry before putting them away, and any dishes used prior your departure are put in the dishwasher and switched on.

• Make sure all rubbish inside and outside including pet waste is picked up and bagged in black bin bags, tied and left in the bins outside the house, and any recycling is correctly sorted in the appropriate bags so we don’t have to handle any waste.

• Make sure the windows are open to ventilate the house 3 hours before your departure.

• Reminder that departure is by 10am and no later. I will be at the property at this time to prepare for the next guests and the house MUST be vacated, any guest leaving late will be charged for another day.

Guests showing signs of Covid-19, need to isolate, request a test, and inform me. Any guest unable to return home and staying will be liable to pay for their extended stay and all affected bookings as a result.

The house is unlocked with the keys in the doors, ready for your stay. My parents live next door and also run the Farm Shop so are immediately at hand for any questions, queries or problems.

We have gradually been renovating it over the years, and will finish it at the end of the year. It is important to me to keep the traditional character but also to modernise it as the property means a lot to me.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Tracey (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
