Location description from owner

The North Wales region

Anglesey

Trearddur Bay

Trearddur or Trearddur Bay (Welsh: Bae Trearddur) is a community, village and seaside resort south of Holyhead on the west coast of Holy Island off the north-west coast of Anglesey in Wales. There are two general shops in the centre of the village, a brand new Bistro (coming in March 2016), two golf courses (one 18-hole, and one small 9-hole) and horse riding. There is also a local public pool less than ten minutes away.

On the two beaches Porth Diana and the main beach there are some shallow scuba diving sites, and the main beach is one of the tourist hotspots of Anglesey. There is excellent sea fishing in the area.

“Great beachside family holiday home, comfortable and well equipped.”

Reviewed 6 May 2015

Clean and comfy holiday house in excellent location, only 2 mins walk across road to the fab beach. Very well kitted out for young children with toys, highchair, stair gates and plastic crockery all if which were useful. My son loved the book rack and memo themed room, Beach toys were also put to good use, Excellent location for several lovely beaches all within a 15 min drive, and near plenty of amenities too. We ate at the seacroft which was excellent and child friendly. We also had a takeaway from the local chinese which was tasty and good value, no fish and chip shop though! We did have a couple of problems with the DVD player and toilet flush but they were instantly fixed the same morning when we let the owner know so this did not hamper our enjoyment at all. Excellent welcome oack on arrival too, Would definitely stay again if returning to the area,

“Perfect family get-away”

Reviewed 20 May 2014

Stayed with my wife in May 2014, the cottage is great and only minutes walk to the beach, shops and pubs. Try the Lobster at The Driftwood pub, caught that morning by the fisherman at the bar, gorgeous. Everywhere is family friendly though our kids are a bit old to come away with the parents now, it would be the perfect location for the younger family. Further afield Angelsey and mainland Wales have loads of attractions so even in wilder weather there is still plenty to see and do.

“Fantastic base few minutes to the beach.”
