Come and explore this stunning corner of France and discover its medieval towns, miles of sandy beaches and bustling markets. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local auberge or buy a baguette and picnic on the banks of the River Oust whilst watching the boats drift gently by.

La Maison Bleue is the perfect base for your holiday in Southern Brittany. This two bedroomed stone house has recently been renovated to a very high standard and is fully equipped for all your holiday needs. Located in a quiet village it is just a two minute walk from the village shop, bar and restaurant.

The surrounding area is packed with things to do. Explore the quirky shops in the ancient medieval town of Malestroit with its cobbled streets and 16th century architecture. Have a coffee in the town square, watch the world go by and decide which is the best restaurant for lunch... try the eleven euros four course workers lunch !

A short thirty minute drive and you are at the coast and the world famous Golfe du Morbihan, a huge nature reserve littered with hidden islands and dozens of white sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered.

Take a short boat trip to the Ile aux Moins and explore the twisty paths and ancient buildings. Order oysters or mussels on the quay and soak up the atmosphere of a real fishing port.

There are so many things to see and do, from animal parks to adventure activities, arts and crafts to boating and water sports, castles and chateaux to festivals and fetes. The list is huge, see our website for literally hundreds of things to do.

Accommodation

La Maison Bleue is traditional stone Breton cottage fully equipped with all the mod-cons you'll need for your perfect holiday. The house is set in its own large gardens and you can soak up the sun at any time of the day !

Downstairs a large open plan lounge-dining room with oak beams is designed around a huge Breton fireplace. Relax on comfy leather sofas, read a book or watch your favourite channels on the UK Freesat television

The large modern kitchen has everything you would expect; a microwave, fridge freezer, oven, washing machine and even a dishwasher.

There is also a downstairs shower room and toilet.

Upstairs you will find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The oak parquet floors and original oak 'A' frames that stretch up into the ceilings give that real Breton feel whilst the contemporary furnishings and decor ensure that you are always comfortable and feel at home.

Outside the gardens have sun loungers, garden furniture and of course a BBQ for those hot summer evenings.

We have a free wifi facility for the exclusive use of our guests staying at La Maison Bleue. This is a self contained private office with access during normal working hours (9am-5pm) Monday through to Saturday. There is no need at all to speak to anyone to arrange this. Come and go at your leisure. Access to the office is direct and has off-road parking.

WiFi is provided so you just need to bring your own laptop/ smartphone or tablet. This office is about five minutes from La Maison Bleue.

Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge

Heating is available, should you require it, at a charge of £39 (€52) per week or part week. Heating is obligatory from 1st October until 15th April

A breakage deposit of £100 (€130) is required on confirmation of the booking.

I would be grateful for a cheque in respect of the breakage deposit and heating, if required could be forwarded to me once the booking has been confirmed and I will then email you some directions.

The breakage deposit cheque will be destroyed assuming that there is no damage to the cottage and it is left clean and tidy.
