Description

This is a lovely house in a great holiday location close to Eastbourne town centre with the beach and pier only a a few minutes walk away. There are many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets close by as well as all the local retail shops. The local cinema is in the same road. The house is in walking distance form all the theatres, the train station and the bus terminus, where buses can take you further afield to surrounding villages. Eastbourne is situated between Brighton and the historic town of Hastings, both are approximately 20 minutes by train and Eastbourne also has a direct train service to London every 30 minutes. The journey to London takes 1hr 24mins.

5 double bedrooms are available all with double beds and one with 4ft double, three of which have memory foam toppers. There is a well equipped kitchen, a lounge/ diner with two leather sofas and flat screen TV with freeview, two shower rooms and three toilets. Double glazing and laminate floors throughout. Patio doors lead out onto a quaint patio garden with fixed bench seating and a garden table for al fresco dining - a sun trap in the summer months. The garden walls either side of the property are low to allow maximum sunlight and occasionally at weekends you may get to meet the friendly neighbours who can share insights into the local area.

I provide hand towels in the bathrooms, tea towels for the kitchen and up to 6 bath towels as I am unable to turn around more than this on changeover days.

Whilst the house can sleep 11 guests, with plenty of space in the bedrooms, the lounge would be a little squashed for 11 people. There is no separate dining room however I provide a fold out table inside which seats six and a garden table outside which will seat 11. I can not guarantee the weather so you will need to take this into consideration if you choose to book for more than 6 or 7 guests.

Toilet paper, hand soap, washing up liquid and cleaning materials are provided but you will need to replenish if they run out.

Wifi, Freesat TV and all bills are included.

The England region

Eastbourne is situated between Brighton and the historic town of Hastings, both are approximately 20 minutes by train and Eastbourne also has a direct train service to London every 30 minutes. The journey takes 1hr 24mins. The South Downs National park is on the doorstep with beautiful views from the downs out to sea on the cliff tops.

This is a lovely cosy seaside house refurbished four years ago in a great holiday location close to Eastbourne town centre and the beach (both 5 minute walk). The pier is just 2 blocks away and along the promenade you can find cafes with the beautiful Beach Deck cafe to the East. On the way you may like to drop in on The Natural Fitness Centre for Yoga or Pilates classes. If you walk West as far as the promenade takes you, you will come across a walk underneath the cliff edge, great when the tide is out for a moon-like landscape. On the way back you can stop off in the Holywell Cafe where they make the best cheese scones in Eastbourne but you may have to get there early as they tend to run out by lunchtime.!
The Famous Beachy Head can be reached by bus, car or by foot. Stop off at the Beachy Head pub which is great for a refreshing drink and meal after a long walk to the Bell Tout Lighthouse.
The Seven Sisters Country park is worth a visit with its breathtaking meandering river. You can hire bikes here. On the way you may like to drop in on the quaint village of East Dean and visit the Tiger Inn for refreshment.

South East England

Eastbourne is a great town to visit as it has both the beach and the beautiful South Downs to spend lazy summer days. So if you like swimming, sunbathing or going for long walks with stunning views, you have it all here. Eastbourne has a reputation for attracting the older generation, and why not it is a beautiful place to retire! However, in the summer months the town is buzzing with young families and foreign language visitors which gives the whole town a cosmopolitan feel. Eastbourne can also be a central point from which to visit the lovely surrounding villages of Alfriston, Jevington, Pevensey Bay and East Dean to name but a few. Bikes can be hired from the Enterprise centre opposite the station.
