The Yorkshire region
Scarborough is Britain's first holiday resort. Its two beautiful beaches are separated by a spectacular headland, upon which sits the 2,500 year-old site of Scarborough Castle. With the Yorkshire Wolds to the south and the North Yorkshire Moors to the north, this wonderful part of the world is a haven for walkers and cyclists looking to explore the rugged coastline, quaint cobbled fishing villages, scenic forests and stately homes.
Scarborough has all the attractions of a holiday to remember. Enjoy family fun at the Sea Life Sanctuary, Peasholm Park and the nearby Flamingo Land; take a step back in time on the North York Moors steam railway and the Scarborough Maritime Heritage Centre; head out on a fishing trip or take in the entertainment at Europe's largest Open Air Theatre. There's something for all ages in this popular resort, including swimming, surfing, sailing, golfing, fishing, paintball, indoor go-carting, bowling, cinemas and more.
Town Centre, Scarborough
The Steeple is situated in Weaponness, one of Scarborough's most desirable areas. It is ideally located for all of Scarborough's key attractions, with the Esplanade, beach and town centre easily accessed just a short walk away. It is within walking distance of the many shops, cafes and bars in Falsgrave and Ramshill - and a convenience shop and two real ale pubs are just two minutes' walk away.
Just a short drive will take you to the North Yorkshire National Park, including Dalby forest - a great place to visit for outdoor enthusiasts, with the famous Go Ape assault course that the kids will love. Nearby in Pickering you can board the North Yorkshire Moors steam train that will take you on a trip to remember through the glorious Esk Valley to Goathland and Whitby.

"A great home away from home"
A clean, modern, spacious and cheap apartment is hard to find. But this ticked all those boxes and more. The property is immaculate and was a perfect place to stay. The owner paula went out of her way to make us welcome and was always easy to speak to and added some lovely touches such as ensuring our child had toys for her age. Highly recommended and would certainly stay again

"An excellent place to stay for all ages"
Brilliant accommodation for all! Well equiped property with everything considered. My friend and I spent three nights in this lovely home from home, I have a 1 year old son and my friend has a 2 year old daughter, age appropriate games and toys were provided with and travel cot in one room and plenty of room for my travel cot in the other! We would love to stay again!
Thanks Hannah for taking the time to review The Steeple. Your kind feedback is much appreciated.

"A Superb Scarborough Stay!"
The Steeple is a beautiful, well presented, fully equipped apartment ran with professionalism and friendliness by it's owners. The location was excellent - on a nice quiet, residential street on which you could park with ease (and the help of parking discs kindly provided by the owners) - an important factor when self catering in the UK as the inclement weather means you rarely travel light!! Everything that you need for a self catering stay is within a short walking distance e.g. convenience store, mini supermarkets, good fish and chip shop etc and it was also close enough to the main town/sea front action when you wanted it. The apartment itself is one of the nicest and definately the most equipped I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled quite extensively - the owners have thought of every possible scenario and provided you with all that you need and more. They were also on hand if needed during the stay, responding quickly to answer any questions we had and keen to take any feedback on board as it is very apparent that customer service and satisfaction is very important to them. All in all, we feel we found an absolute gem and would definitely stay here again if we return to Scarborough.
