“Beautiful cottage, perfect location, highly recommended”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2015

Beautiful cottage, very clean and with everything you need. Juilan and his wife are so welcoming, making sure we had a stocked fridge with butter and wonderful steaks from the local farm shop. Perfectly located for St Ives and St Michaels mount. Highly recommend taking a drive along the wonderful bays near- go for a walk in Prussia Cove. The hosts are very welcoming and the cottage is wonderfully comfortable, highly recommend either for a relaxing get away or base to visit a range of areas near by! Also lovely cones and cream left as a little treat from the hosts is always a winner with me! Thanks again!!

Thank you for your kind words, we are sure you will keep following "Chypons Farm" on Face book.

“Excellant cottages and superb service from friendly hosts.”

Reviewed 16 May 2015

River Cottage is set in a woodland setting alongside two other cottages and a converted Barn. All built around a stunning garden with unusual plants and a handy summerhouse full of information just right for easy reading in this suntrap. The cottage itself was clean and spacious with everything you could ask for, full of antique furniture, lots of comfy chairs, hi-fi and flat panel TV. A good comprehensive kitchen area with all you would need including all cleaning cloths etc brand new so not been used by others. ( A fad of mine!) The owners, Julian and kate provided excellent communication through emails in the booking process and gave really comprehensive pre-stay information that we found really useful. Car parking is available directly outside River Cottage which was very convenient. We would recommend any of the Chypons farm accommodation without hesitation for couples and families wanting a quiet, peaceful and convenient cottage situation for nearby St Ives and the rest of Cornwall. Wonderful break and quality time for rest and recuperation for my wife Dawn after a hip replacement operation. Could'nt fault it at all.

Thank you for your kind words and glad that you had the relaxing holiday you were looking for. We are also pleased you valued the information we provided including the Chypons Farm Face book page and web page.

“Warm welcoming home and owners in a magnificent Cornwall spot”

Reviewed 7 May 2015

Julian and Kate were wonderful hosts of their beautiful stone cottage. We arrived to flowers, scones, cream and jam and just what you need to get started. The spotless cottage is spacious, with very comfortable beds and furniture. The decor is rural cottage without the chintz. The kitchen is stocked with all you could need. Everything is clean and works efficiently. It is set in a beautiful part of the world and we loved rambling over the coastal footpaths and commons. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who live on site. We received lots of helpful information before we arrived including an on line food order from a nearby farm store. As we don't use a car they organized taxis to pick us up and drop us at the delightful St. Erth train station, supplied us with bus schedules (yes, there is a great bus service at the end of the road!) and made friendly suggestions for places to visit. They have created a lovely informal communal garden with a small summer house replete with interesting books and information. We would definitely return and have already recommended it to many of our relatives and friends. Brilliant!!

“Great cottage, impeccably clean”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2014

We have just returned from this cottage (Aug 14). We were very happy - spacious, very well equipped and impeccably clean. Can't fault it, was also great value for money and we plan to return one day. Also I had to rearrange the dates and cut short my stay at short notice and the owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating in relation to this, going out of their way to accommodate my new requirements (they were not obliged to do so but they did, to help me out). This was greatly appreciated.

“Absolutley Fabulous!”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2014

Julian and Cate were there to meet us on arrival with homemade scones (delicious touch) and could not do enough for us. The cottages were just lovely, clean and fresh and home from home. The nearby pub served delicious food and the local farm shop was a real treat. There were many ancient stone sites near the cottage which are definitely worth a visit and the walks and views were amazing. I loved that we could come and go as we pleased and would highly recommend Chypons Farm to anyone looking to visit St. Ives.

“Couldn't have been better”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2013

Our stay in Cornwall was very special and we were very fortunate to have found these lovely cottages on the internet - couldn't think of anywhere nicer to put our heads down. It was especially pleasing as we had selected Chypons Farm from Sydney, Australia and were just hoping it would be as good as it looked - and it was. The cottages, although seeming very secluded, were so close to so many beautiful places and Kate and Julian's advice on where to visit were spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed these special places in a wonderful part of the UK. We especially enjoyed the "Float and Ride" for a visit to Falmouth and St Mawes. By the end of our week, we felt as though we were leaving old friends behind - what a wonderful time we had.

“Wonderful cottage, met all our needs and expectations”

Reviewed 13 May 2013

We loved our stay at Chyptons farm, the cottage was wonderful and very homely it was just what we wanted (the decor was perfect!) Kate & Julian where very welcoming, we loved the scones and cream awaiting us! We wanted a break away for a couple of days and this couldn't of been a better location, amazing walks, the wonderful town of St ives and fab local pubs we where spoilt for choice! I cant recommend this cottage enough we cant wait to come back. xxx

Thank you for those kind words and for going to the trouble of completing both this review and the one on the Chypons Farm Facebook page. It was a pleasure welcoming you to Chypons farm and look forward to seeing you again. Kate & Julian
