This well-presented studio occupies part of the ground floor of our luxury villa with mature gardens, lawn and large 'L' shaped heated pool. It has independent access and it's own covered terrace. The pool is shared only with the owners who use it infrequently. The garden and pool area have panoramic views across the River Loup valley. From the garden you can also see the 'eagles nest' village of Gourdon perched high on a rocky outcrop 800 metres above sea level. Garden lights and an electric BBQ enhance guests enjoyment of the warmer evenings. The studio apartment is furnished and equipped to a high standard and has secure off-road parking. The property offers the perfect base to explore the Cote d'Azur from the mountains to the sea. Within a short drive is our beautiful local medieval village of Tourrettes sur Loup with its wealth of amenities including shops, bars, restaurants, chemist, post office, bank, weekly market and events throughout the

This studio apartment offers everything for a relaxing break in beautiful, tranquil surroundings yet is convenient for all Cote' d'Azur attractions.

The Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region

The Provence Alpes Maritimes region is one of the most beautiful in France with spectacular scenery from the mountains to the coast and everything in between. The area has hosted the famous Tour de France and Iron Man competitions being perfect locations for these sports. Winter months you could easily be skiing at the local resorts of Greoliere or Valberg in the morning and enjoying a coffee on the coast in the afternoon. In the summer there are wonderful walks to enjoy. The local area has many medieval villages and local markets. Tourrettes sur Loup itself is a lively medieval village perched on a rocky outcrop St. Tropez is approximately one and a half hour's drive to the west whilst Italy is approximately an hour's drive to the east.

Tourrettes-sur-Loup

Our local medieval village of Tourrettes sur Loup is conveniently located just a short 5km drive from the studio. The medieval architecture around the grand rue in the village is magnificently preserved from its origins in the 14th century. The village is situated on a rocky outcrop with magnificent views down to the coast. As you enter the village you arrive in the Place de le Liberation, this central square includes several boules terrains, a car park and also plays host to the local weekly market on Wednesdays. The attractions include the grand rue which has many ateliers, workshops and studios featuring pottery, art and local crafts. The village also has a wide choice of restaurants, cafe bars, shops and other amenities.

Getting around

The most convenient way to see this region is by car, however there is also a very good bus service from the main road near the studio apartment with buses running towards Tourrettes sur Loup, Vence and the coast and in the other direction towards Valbonne and Grasse, the perfume capital of France. In addition, a bus from Vence can take you to the coast or to the nearest train station at Cagnes sur Mer where you can connect with trains to Monaco, Italy and Nice or in the other direction to Cannes, Antibes and St. Tropez. There are also an abundance of local walks nearby.
