Further details indoors

Come and take a peek inside our Isle of Wight holiday accommodation! The self-catering holiday cottage features three cosy, stylishly-decorated bedrooms, a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen and adjoining dining room that comfortably seats six adults.

We think you’ll love the Master Bedroom! Located on the ground floor of the cottage, the bedroom has a very comfy John Lewis Queen sized double, lots of pillows, and furnishings inspired by Africa with rich terracotta and African ornaments. On the first floor of the accommodation, the purple double bedroom is equally as cosy and has another comfortable John Lewis bed for a great night’s sleep. The blue twin bedroom, with double aspect windows, sleeps two adults comfortably; it’s also great for kids.

The lounge has a clean modern look with comfortable seating for six adults. Nothing beats sinking into our huge black leather sofa after a brisk walk around West Wight – whether you’ve headed up to the Needles and Tennyson Down or to nearby Yarmouth – with a nice cuppa tea. The living room also has three leather chairs, inset gas fireplace, and thick rug on polished floorboards, as well as a flatscreen TV, video, DVD, stereo (cd/tape/radio) and a range of books and board games for fun evenings in. The cottage also features a Nintendo Wii with the popular Sports Resort game.

Whether you’re just starting out or getting some last minute practice in for Master chef, the kitchen has everything you need and has ample counter space to cook for a family or group of adults. The kitchen has been designed and fitted to a high standard by John Lewis and includes full hob/oven, toaster, fridge/freezer, Bosch microwave and dishwasher, and Miele washing machine. A tumble dryer is also provided. The dining area adjoins the kitchen and seats six.

Further details outdoors

At the rear of our holiday accommodation, in the direction of the West Wight coastline, is a pleasant enclosed garden with garden table and chairs. The double doors from the dining room can be opened up to provide a nice area for eating al-fresco.

There is parking behind the garden.

Whether you’re after a holiday rental for a short break such as a long weekend or several weeks, previous guests have found the cottage a relaxing base for exploring West Wight and beyond.

The Isle of Wight is a treasure trove of picturesque villages, spectacular cliffs, downland, sandy beaches, rich farmlands, creeks, marshland, river valleys as well as having a rich diversity of wildlife, flora and fauna. Just being here is a joy.

The West Wight has many areas of outstanding natural beauty - rolling countryside, peaceful forests, picturesque villages and breathtaking coastal scenery, such as the rugged white cliffs of Freshwater Bay, the multi-coloured sandstone cliffs of Alum Bay and of course, the famous landmark Needles rocks. “Nice House”

Craiglea is a nice house, in a nice village, 5 minutes walk from the sea , very handy for shops, good parking, and an enclosed garden

So glad things worked out conveniently and that you enjoyed your holiday. Lawrence

“Comfortable house in good location.”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2016

Plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 child plus 2 dogs. Good size enclosed garden. Few minutes walk from the beach. Good take away and shop a few doors away.

“Perfect holiday home”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2015

The house is lovely, warm and inviting. The location is wonderful with gorgeous beaches nearby. And to top it off the owner is very helpful! We'll definitely be returning next year - and intend to stay longer! We had a fair amount of rain during our stay, and the house was well equipped to help us keep two young ones occupied .... Quite spacious really!

Hi, thank you for such a positive review (lovely, warm and inviting). I'm not sure it can get much better! We're really glad you had a great time at Craiglea and look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes, Lawrence

“Relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2015

We enjoyed our holiday at Craiglea, Totland very much. The service was good and professional. The best things about the property are that it's spacious with high quality furnishings and equipment and a nice garden, that we enjoyed sitting in to eat some of our meals, and it's a good location we thought. Parking at the back of the property was good, The worst things are probably that it's on a busy road, quite noisy, through Friday and Saturday night especially, although the road didn't bother my husband at all.. Also felt it could do with a spring clean, that's no reflection on the caretaker/cleaners as I know from working as a cleaner myself that you can only do so much each week in the time available. Also it was a bit scruffy in places could do with redecorating/freshening up etc. But the good outweighed the bad and we would stay again. We stay in self-catering properties a lot and It made a change having such good quality furnishings etc. We had never been to the I.O.W before, we loved it and especially the area we stayed in, it was a good choice. A very good bus service with bus stop just a few yards from Craiglea. We ate out a lot and had some good meals, the Waterfront in Totland being one of the best, it's within walking distance of Craiglea, would also recommend the New Inn, Shalfleet and sitting on the beach at Colwell Bay.
